If we had one corner who had to play everyone then he would have to play Ginn, Thomas and Jones and Williams and anyone else. But corners can serve multiple purposes. Jackson can play man and zone and will hold his own in the slot or on the outside. Plus look at the conference he played in which was the SEC. He looked plenty sturdy and he can bulk up and learn behind vets. At some point this season he will start making his presence known. Oliver was a 4.5 guy. Jackson was a 4.3 guy to shut down opponent's quick deep threat.  He values speed and quickness. Like it or not that is the focus.

We must have full faith in Cockrell and Bradberry on the outside, to take primarily a slot CB after signing one to a hefty contract in FA and drafting another last year.

You guys make your own judgement, but this guy is so animated, and seems to be on top of everyone. I think he will also be used to blitz often. He has the attitude I think this defense needs.

Better comparison is Janoris Jenkins who is a little bigger than Jackson. Again I liked Oliver who I thought was our next Josh Norman but I understand what Hurney is doing. We don't have any corner with the speed of Jackson.
