Albert Breer confirms that Tepper will win the sale without being the highest bidder but with the preference of the NFL.

Breer considers it "groundbreaking".

Kinda feel bad for Navarro, he did everything he possibly could to win the ownership

Yeah... good luck with that.

The percentage of people that would be for public funding for a new Panthers Stadium would be infinitesimal.  The percentage would vastly increase, but not be overwhelming, in the far fetched idea that it would also be used for MLB and MLS.

Said it before: If it's Tepper, don't be surprised if Steelers VP of Football and Business Administration Omar Khan is your next GM.

Khan is more of a cap negotiator than a personnel guy, so the hope would be that Khan would hire solid personnel people.

FYI: The Steelers are nearly fanatical about building through the draft, so I'd expect a similar approach here under Tepper/Khan.

First and foremost I hope that whoever gets it keeps the damn team in Charlotte. But there could be much worse situations than having Steelers guys manage the team. Hell it could be the Bengals.  At least he has contacts of how to build a competitive team.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but when the guy who got canned for being a complete asshole, and his geriatric daddy who took creepy workplace to a whole new level tap Navarro as a "great guy" who they would feel comfortable with being the next owner, that kind of didn't sit right with me.

I'm actually okay with Tepper being the next owner, in that I believe that we'll finally break out of our every other year slump with him in charge. Something tells me that he will not accept anything less than back to back winning seasons, with multiple playoff berths as the minimum standard, rather than the exception we've experienced over 20 years now, and a real Superbowl push to win it is the expectation. We're just so used to our owner being more worried about loyalty and family, that we've forgotten that this team is a business at heart, and winning is the only real option, both fanatically and financially.

Said it elsewhere: I'm not against Tepper.  I just preferred Navarro.

Now, certainly hoping for the best.

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
