12. Carolina Panthers

New year, new offensive coordinator for Cam Newton, who gets to try the Norv Turner experience after blossoming under Mike Shula. Same old questions about Cam: Can he survive if he keeps running the way he does, taking those hits, etc.? But he keeps on ticking, and while it doesn't always look pretty in the passing game, the Panthers know what they have in Newton, who finds various ways to win games. Backup Taylor Heinicke is a guy Turner had in Minnesota a couple of years ago, and he knows how to operate the system.

This dude covered the Giants and is an obvious NFC East homer.  I'd put us right behind the Saints. From #5 on who doesn't trade their QB straight up for Cam at this point? Having the Bengals over the Texans, 49ers and Rams is psychopathic.  These rankings are wretched.

On paper our team is stout. The holes in the secondary are the problem. Look at that front seven and tell me that's not the best in football?

Our secondary will be much improved over last year based on personnel and a more player friendly scheme.

I worry more about the exterior defensive line than the defensive backfield. In fact, I worry about our ability to generate a pass rush from our front four. Some of the Panther defensive draft picks lead me to believe we may be planning for more diversified pass rush generation schemes.

One wild card is Daeshon Hall.

'blossoming under Mike Shula'...you mean stagnating?... feel like its a transition year for Cam on his skill set.... he can't keep runnin.

Running qb is what he is and has always been since Auburn Don’t see him changing anytime soon

    • You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?   bruh
    • Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!
    • And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
