I bet Tepper doesn't bring up a new stadium for atleast 2 years.

This is the way to refer to a stadium that doesn't exist and isn't planned- 'a' new stadium, not 'the' new stadium.

In 2022 the city is due to give 75 million to owner for upgrades.  I be he tries at that time to parlay that into much more for a new stadium.  While also threatening to leave.  It's just business

Are you kidding?  He's going to be asked about it everytime he has a press conference by Joe the Schmo.  I can't wait to hear him tell Person to fug off, you know it's coming.

If he wants to ask Charlotte for money, the stadium better be in Charlotte and not SC. Would be dumb for us to pay money and SC get all the revenue....

He will have both states lining up to throw money at him like a stripper at a frat party.  You watch.

The writing is already on the wall, whether there are plans yet or not.  Proactive speculation based on concrete facts and patterns of behavior elsewhere at other times. Take Minnesota  for example. They used Goodell to leverage the stadium during the 11th hour.  Take Oakland for another one--no new stadium, the owners approve a move to Vegas.   Do you think he WON'T try for a new stadium?  That could lead to a threat to move the team if he does not get it, and Richardson showed us  how people will react.  Tepper is a businessman.  Objective.  I will say that he will do what they did in Minnesota in 3-5 years.

    • From Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/nutshellsportz.bsky.social/post/3mo3rkrcezs2e  A look at Run Threat Rate across the NFL Run Threat Rate is the percentage of plays where a team either runs the ball or uses play action. This compares each team’s rate when leading or tied versus when trailing to show how much they abandon the run when playing from behind.
    • That's the current dilemma on both parties at the moment. If Ickey comes back too soon, he won't be 100% and his play will suffer. Leading to a potential decrease in his contract. If Ickey is unable to play and sits the entire 2026 season, his contract will still take the same hit since it tells all 32 team that he is not fully recovered. On the Panthers side, I'm sure they would want to keep Ickey if he is fully recovered but he is obviously in a contract year. They don't want to re-sign him to a massive deal since it be too risky and they know if Ickey is able to return to form.  Best case scenario, the Panthers wants to offer Ickey a 1-2 year heavily incentive based prove it deal. However, Ickey would most likely decline the offer and test the market as  another team can come in and offer Ickey a better deal if they are desperate enough for O-line help.
    • They have been giving him a lot of snaps at RT to give TMo some relief in camp. I think that will continue for the time being.
