That was incredible, easily one of the best analysis videos I’ve seen, confirms to me though that both Atlanta and New Orleans have been giving us trouble with zone blocking centres out maneuveing star for the last couple of years. Slightly annoying that we couldn’t squeeze that last game out the bag but was entertaining watching the Saints fail so miserably in Minnesota.

thanks for posting this vid.

Brett Kollmann is one of the better scouts I've found. Very knowledgable and does great videos.

The good thing is that we were still right there. With the additions that we have made on offense, alone, we will hopefully overcome those sumbitches this year, and everyone else.

Once Kamara is taken out of the picture(no injuring him) Brees will have to take extra steps to get the ball out which is what he does to hurt teams with his WR's. Remove his weapons(if it can be done) and we beat them.

If we scored TDs instead of FG we win probably 2 of those games.

And Aints fans could find dozens of reasons they made mistakes in those games as well just like this thread is trying to do.

Good teams win and lose. Simple as that. All that matters is that you get enough wins to make the Playoffs and have a shot.

We aren’t making excuses though. Our defense was good enough to beat them. Our offense was not. We settled for FGs instead of scoring touchdowns. One 80 yard pass to Ginn basically erased all the good the defense did for the last two or three drives before that. You can’t expect a defense to hold Brees to nothing for very long. We had a very glaring weakness at receiver. It wasn’t MISTAKES. It was us lacking talent at a position that has become increasingly more important in scoring. We didn’t have the skill at the skill position. That isn’t a mistake. That’s not being good enough.

The defense couldn't slow them down for sh*t, the secondary allowed too many big plays, couldn't get pressure on Brees, we couldn't run to control the clock, dropped passes, played from behind in each game, our o-line didn't give Cam a chance to make plays at some points.

Bottom line: they controlled the trenches and our secondary could not cover anyone they had

Well this is fine, they were better that day. I'm cool with that. Blaming this and that though, I'm not. Every team can blame poor play in a game. It's a wash.

    • Not many people talking about DT, but we have a need.  (DE)  Now this guy is a NT like Brown III
    • But is it about letting Bryce develop or about winning games? Bryce has not been good enough to be an uncontested starter. He just hasn't. How many times has last drive Bryce shown up for 4 entire quarters? Once in 3 seasons? You aren't going to win 9 or 10 one score games every season year in and year out. You may want Bryce in the last 2 minutes. I want that Bryce the full 60.  No one is saying you have to give up on him, but bringing in another QB that can do anything is not hindering Bryce. It helps the team and that's where the focus needs to be. If drafting Sadiq to plague the middle of the field would help out offense, but Bryce struggles to get pass into the middle of the field, is Sadiq a bad pick? Or could he be a good pick with a better option at QB? We can't be afraid to improve. QB, TE, OL, LB, DL, CB, S. It doesn't matter. The goal is SBs, not 5 to 8 years seeing waiting to see if Bryce can develop while the rest of the league keeps passing us by.  Sadiq is a nice option, but I think we have to address tackle if one we like is there because we are painfully thin after this year, a LB to general the field, and a true ball hawking safety that can set the tone in the secondary. Those 3 positions are bigger game changers than a TE that will likely struggle to make a round 1 impact in this offense.
    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
