CJ Anderson’s Value.

If he can do that every down, his value to us is incredible. If he can run the ball like he did Thursday night all season long, his value to us will be immense. If he can do both, on a weekly basis, then he's the biggest steal of the 2018 season.

Good guy, glad we've got him.

Since Anderson isn't bad out of the backfield either he should be in on obvious passing downs when you know the dline will bring the heat.

you can have both on at the same time. This allows you to go power/zone runs or switch it to PA/quick dump off to either RBs. Take what defense gives you beat them at their own game.

Yeah he had several nice pass pro snaps. Still puzzled as to why he played when he did and for as long as he did...

Maybe the coaches are more curious as to how cmc does with a full load? Looking back to last season with the exception of one drive in the GB game and for part of the first ATL game,  McCafrey was constantly in and out of the lineup and only got over 10 carries in 3 games iirc.

I dont think theyre going to be using cj like stew last year. Maybe theryre going to try cmc as the everydown back and use cj for specialized situations like long pass pro and short yardage,  goal line.

No way in hell he is a situational guy CMC is gonna be worn out w/ increased receiving target. The power run game is gonna be through C.J. & CAP

Then why was cmc with the first team just now? We already have dj and samuel for the short passes

Cause it’s preaseason with no real game planing duh. I’ll put some money on it that CMC want be the leading rusher, he will get all purpose yards though .

    • Rotating in Chuba was beyond stupid and really hurt our offense overall. We’ve been in a good rhythm the last 6 quarters or so but Canales figured disrupting that with Chuba would be worth it Rico fits this offense so much better than Chuba    As far as grades go I know that ain’t our RB1, starting Center and our supposedly deep WR room and exciting talented young TE in dead last. Weird. I wonder if that has any correlation on QB play  Even that first incomplete ball Bryce threw in the end zone that hit Legette’s hands. Legette had no business being there so early. Legette went into scramble drill when that ball was intended for Coker who led up because of the traffic there
    • Yeah Jets have pretty much been in every game they've played and have barely lost to really good teams. They are much better than their record says Imo
    • I kinda just wanna see what the offense can do with a QB who has proven he can move the football in the NFL. If Dalton wasn't a shadow of his former self I'd be fine with him but Father Time has definitely caught up with him. If we start piling up the losses as the schedule gets tougher and the passing offense continues to be anemic that might cast Canales his job and it's worth a very low risk move IMO to at least give him a fighting chance. The thought of yet another Tepper rebuild just isn't at all exciting to me having already seen a few of them. I'm about giving this current guy a fighting chance.
