I really wanted him in a later round the other year

"NFL COMPARISON

David Amerson

BOTTOM LINE

Physical cornerback who's at his best when he's able to see the play develop in front of him rather than having to lock down a target as a man-to-man cover corner. Carter's ability to tackle and play the ball in space should interest zone defenses, but a transition to safety might make sense if he can carry a bit more weight."

Well damn! Another one bites the dust!

Edit: Okay, I fuged up. I thought that said "zero" defenses. I hope that it's not an omen.

Another depth player with the comp of Amerson should be fine. Nothing to get excited over.

Looked up his history. The longest he's lasted in his last four stints is about a month, and that's only been on practice squads.

Anybody still available at this time of year is probably a camp body or past their prime, so I wouldn't put too many expectations on him.

Our secondary is becoming to remind me of last year.  And that not a good feeling. Gualden and Jackson need to perform.

Gaulden and Jackson are our only real options at the moment. Kinda scary, but Eric Washington seems to have genuine confidence in them.

Just now, Mr. Scot said:

Gotta remember though that, going into the Bills game, Washington and Rivera had genuine confidence in Kevon Seymour.

I was one of the first to criticize Seymour Thursday night.

But I want to see what he does this next game now.

Now that it came out that his wife gave birth the next day.  You know his head was elsewhere and not in Buffalo Thursday night

Other than Eric Reid.

    • Bryce.  We have seen him w/ 2 coaches.  The flaws will forever be the flaws.  The ceiling will forever be the ceiling.  Limitations will forever be the limitations.   Give Canales 1 season w/ a downfield thrower.  I mean, I don't like Dave and his style but that's the only thing that makes sense IMO big picture.  We know what Bryce is.  What know what Evero is.  See a single season of Dave w/ a QB that fits his scheme.
    • I can't make fun of kids that still believe in Santa,  because there is grown adults that still believe in the Panthers.
    • And I am thinking it is because he has an impossible job with putting enough plays together in a playbook to beat NFL defenses with his little college QB that can’t see unless we split the field in half so he can get out to one side or the other.    If we just had typical largely unimaginative play action passing game with actual deep capability for him to call plays off of, and someone capable running it, it would be better than what we have.  I amnot married to him but we only get one. I see more success with him and another QB than this QB and another HC/new offense.
