I probably should have added more guys on defense to my winners list.

Obada, Butler and Hall all looked to make some nice plays.  Haynes too.

Really nice night for our defense overall.  Helped by what seemed a gazillion penalties on Miami, but still... they showed up. Those stops on sudden changes within the Red Zone were gorgeous.

If Matt Kalil doesn't make some serious progress soon, we may be forced to keep 3 QBs because there are going to be a lot of sacks...

Hopefully he settles in and can at least play average - below average instead of dumpster fire level.

Our weakest link.  Unfortunately, every team we play knows it too.

I would be insanely surprised in that happens, but anything is possible I suppose.

Lorenzo Doss opted to go for the big hit instead of wrapping up twice and whiffed on both. Our defense requires DBs that are able to tackle. That won’t cut it. It was painful to watch.

Once the season gets going and game planning is involved Matt will be better.

This makes a lot of sense, but it is really hard to watch Matt play and not think he's playing himself out of a job. We really won't know anything about his ability until Dallas comes to town. We should know before the end of the first quarter. Hopefully the season won't be over by then.

I’d give Hood and Byrd honorable mentions here. Byrd was getting open and made a couple of nice catches and a decent return. Elijah has shown he’s capable of being a red zone threat the last couple of weeks. I’d hate to be the one making cuts to 53 but this is a good problem to have.
