Well, in fairness, we can probably find clips of virtually every offensive lineman in the NFL being pushed around at some point in their nfl career.

It happens to every lineman.

It happens for more frequently to the bad ones.

I agree, but posting random video clips doesn't really prove that aminu is any worse than most other backup offensive linemen.

The clips are just evidence of what we've seen. There are other moments that haven't been recorded.

My point is really that sometimes as fans, we tend to focus exclusively on our own players, and not look at other players and the bigger picture.  Yeah he screws up some.  If he didn't, he would likely be playing somewhere else for significantly more money.  The real questions regarding Silatou are how does he compare to other backups, and how likely is it that we could get (and afford) a better backup.  And what other positions would suffer if we got a better backup and paid him more?

Amini as a backup I could probably live with. Amini as a starter not so much.

Silatolu...is this some kinda personal project for Riv...

Just a reminder, Amini was chosen in the 2nd round (40th overall pick) in the 2012 NFL draft (out of the powerhouse Midwestern State Mustangs) by Hurn-dog and Ron.

So, yeah... maybe.

BTW, this is where Midwestern State plays their home games:

"Paralyzed with fear". Sure the past shapes the future. But it damm sure does not define it.

How many times do you have to see the same mistake made by the same guy before you become willing to say "you know, maybe there's a problem here."

Hub, I get that you want to be an optimist. I'm hopeful for Rivera this year too, but as mentioned I still acknowledge where he has challenges. That's just being realistic.

True optimism is hoping for the best even in the face of issues, not denying that those issues exist. That's just burying your head in the sand while sticking your fingers in your ears and going "la la la la la."
