Corey Coleman...

Was again just released to make room for Josh Gordon.

Coleman was traded to Buffalo this offseason then failed to make the Bills roster (which can raise a few flags but beggars can’t be choosers).

With Samuel and Byrd both struggling to stay healthy, it’s tough to argue Coleman wouldn’t be of value to us.

He is an outside WR with the ability to get downfield. I don’t care if he is dumb, I don’t care if he sleeps during film session, I don’t care if he doesn’t like Bojangles or whatever other bs reasons you guys will try to come up with. We just need him to line up out wide on Sundays and run fast.

At the very least Coleman is worth a look.

The only question I'd have is if you sign him, what receiver do you cut to make room? We're not keeping seven.

I'm gonna assume Torrey Smith, but you may say otherwise.

This may come as a shock and it pains me to say it but I could be talked into letting Byrd go.

I’ve been one of Byrd’s biggest supporters over the years and have banged the table multiple times for him but after getting hurt again last Sunday, he very well may be just too small.

Yea...he just can't seem to stay healthy. The 3 games he's going to play this season will be fun to watch I guess

Here's the series of events that will transpire.

Byrd and Samuel practice this week.

Byrd and Samuel play this week.

Both will get hurt again somehow

Coleman will be gone and we'll be right back where we started

That's hilarious but I can see that happening exactly like that sad but pretty funny because it's so the panthers.

That's not really that much of a shock.

Byrd has been looking like a perpetual tease for a while now

    • Good read and stuff under it is not bad either. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/panthers-cb-jaycee-horn-says-184519429.html
    • While I'd love to add him, it just doesn't make sense for where we are at in our re-build right now. The only teams who should be interested are those who have a very legitimate shot at winning the SB this season, as any team who makes the trade is going to be mortgaging their future to make the move. Teams who make these kinds of trades and then give them the massive contract, in the hopes that it will expedite their path to contention, ALWAYS ends up backfiring because they have to give up the 1st round picks that are then needed to help build out the rest of the roster after eating up such a significant chunk of the cap on the new contract. There is no way the Cowboys trade him for anything less than 2 future 1st rounders (and probably more), plus we'll have to make him the highest paid non QB in league history.  Not to mention that it would then have made the Scourton and/or Princely picks a bit of a waste, as those 2nd and 3rd round picks would have been better off used on a ILB or DB
    • Like his approach to pre season that's ro get them out there and play together for a few plays and right about the night before and morning before.  Maybe we can come out the gate on fire I can smell the smoke from here!!   Go Panthers
