Maroon 5 will be the halftime performers at the 2019 Super Bowl, two sources confirm to Variety.

Reached for comment, an NFL rep tells Variety, “It’s a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are continuing to work with [longtime sponsor] Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show.” A rep for Maroon 5 could not immediately be reached for comment.

I remember a time when only women cared about uniforms, what was painted on the field, and the halftime show. the halftime is for getting a sammich, a beer and poop.  Get off my lawn.

The greatest hip hop city in the world and Maroon 5 is the choice, way to go.

Yeah..its almost as if race and locations are not factors and such things are decided based on economics rather than skin tone and genre. NO isn't exactly hip hop country but Beyonce played there! Detroit isnt exactly a hotbed of classic rock but Rolling Stones played there! Way to go~~~

Nobody said race has anything to do with who they choose to perform but "economics" means they want to attract the largest percentage of people possible which means = white people (myself included) which is why its usually some horrendous pop act. And if you don't think New Orleans isn't "hip hop country" and Detroit isn't a hotbed of classic rock then i'd like to see examples of cities that are.

    • Not many people talking about DT, but we have a need.  (DE)  Now this guy is a NT like Brown III
    • But is it about letting Bryce develop or about winning games? Bryce has not been good enough to be an uncontested starter. He just hasn't. How many times has last drive Bryce shown up for 4 entire quarters? Once in 3 seasons? You aren't going to win 9 or 10 one score games every season year in and year out. You may want Bryce in the last 2 minutes. I want that Bryce the full 60.  No one is saying you have to give up on him, but bringing in another QB that can do anything is not hindering Bryce. It helps the team and that's where the focus needs to be. If drafting Sadiq to plague the middle of the field would help out offense, but Bryce struggles to get pass into the middle of the field, is Sadiq a bad pick? Or could he be a good pick with a better option at QB? We can't be afraid to improve. QB, TE, OL, LB, DL, CB, S. It doesn't matter. The goal is SBs, not 5 to 8 years seeing waiting to see if Bryce can develop while the rest of the league keeps passing us by.  Sadiq is a nice option, but I think we have to address tackle if one we like is there because we are painfully thin after this year, a LB to general the field, and a true ball hawking safety that can set the tone in the secondary. Those 3 positions are bigger game changers than a TE that will likely struggle to make a round 1 impact in this offense.
    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
