Christian McCaffrey

offensive line is opening gaping holes for him this time around.

Glad that he is showing power now. That's 2 weeks I have saw him break tackles, which is what I wanted to see.

Umm he didn't break the single game rushing record today for a Panther back? 184 yards seems like it should have did it. Someone like Stephon or Foster probably owns that record I bet.

He was a workhorse today. Noticed he did it on the ground and not receiving. Now if he can combine both rushing and receiving consistently he can be a Marshall Faulk type rb and not the Danny Woodhead type rb people like to compare him to.

That's called having an OC that knows what he's doing. Last week all we did was check down to CMC so this week we flip it and run up the gut constantly. Defense has no idea what we're doing with this guy. He can literally do anything.

Christian McCaffrey is at the podium right now

May not seem like a big deal to some but I can't remember the last time since Cam's arrival in 2011 that we had a player outside of him at the podium after a game.  CMC is becoming a star guys.

46 Carries for 271 Rushing Yards , 5.89 yards per carry

22 Receptions for 157 Receiving Yards  , 7.13 yards per catch

428 total yards from scrimmage in 3 games. Leading the team in receptions , rushing yards, and total yards from scrimmage.

Pretty strong start to CMC's season. Even if these were his stats through 4 games instead of 3, he would be on pace for 1084 rushing yards / 628 receiving yards.

He's on pace for 360+ touches and 2,200 yards from scrimmage.

Not sure if he gets those numbers, we're bound to have some games where teams will just decide to erase him and force other players to beat them

If he did get that, that would be incredible. I'm really hoping he goes for about 1200 rushing and 600 receiving (somewhat more realistic for 1800 yards than 2200)

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
