I was streaming the game and my stream went into buffing right after I saw the replay and said it would be overturned.   You are correct that he hit his arm but the ball didn't come free from his hand.   Credit Dalton for holding on and giving a forward motion.

Obada deserves the recognition though JJ Watts had 3 sacks in a loss and Jackson has two picks.

He might not get sacks every game but he is going to get pressures.   His sack was because the TE didn't get across the line quick enough but Obada burst was like a DB flying in there.  Dalton had no chance.

The award was for NFC Defensive Player of the Week (Watt is in the AFC), but Jackson certainly would have been just as deserving. I think what made Obada’s performance more impressive though was how he impacted the game that much with such limited snaps...I kept getting frustrated with Rivera when he kept leaving Obada on the sidelines. Like IMMEDIATELY after the strip-sack got overturned, he took Obada out of the game :eyeroll:

If Obada ends up being somewhat of a 1-hit wonder, it still will be an incredible story.

That being said, I truly think he has the drive (and not to discount it, size & athleticism) to actually be an impact player for this team.

I see him being in the same mold as Addison a few years ago.  Maybe not the size to be an every down DE, but a terror on 3rd downs and as a pure pass rusher.

However, given what he has gone through, I'm not going to doubt he can do or be anything he wants.

I am so excited and happy for him, just want to be realistic.  He is a joy to watch

He actually has the size to be a every down DE. It’s experience he needs more of, mainly in run defense setting the edge. With Pep & Washington to learn from. Not worried about him being able to pick it up.

no but Id like to see him rotated in and all three of those guys + Horton get a similar amount of reps. Maybe less Horton and more OBADA!

That's rational but my boy up there thinks Rivera not starting him over the vets is a bad idea apparently. :)

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
