Not sure he's PS eligible . . . depends on how the NFL views last season.  He definitely has two accrued seasons in '15 and '16.  Last season he has three games on the active roster, but I'm not sure whether he was on the 53 for the whole season or just those three games.

I’d rather it be Jacobs if he’s on the 53. I can’t recall but I see Norris on STs making nice plays.

I'm not so sure it shouldn't be Mayo. Damn, he has looked like straight trash. The Amini of the defense. He spends half his time on the field flat on his back just like Amini.

We're not cutting Mayo.  We tried him at outside LB, and he's not very good there.  Not sure we should be surprised.  He was never intended to be the backup there.  He's a decent backup in the middle.

Jermaine Carter should've been starting. He was outstanding in preseason.

Perhaps, but that's not how Ron rolls, and even though I hate it, I can't say that he's wrong. Say what you will, but Rivera has had some success doing things his way. Call it dumb luck or whatever, but when guys like Norwell, Moton, Funchess, and even Samuel (on an extremely limited sample size) come in and produce after riding the pine, then it's hard to argue with Rivera's modus operandi. I still hate it though.

Now I will argue that if a player looks like poo for several games that Ron needs to sit their ass down and give guys with upside that are likely motivated to play an opportunity. I can't say that about Mayo. Now Torrey Smith, it's getting to that point.
