Man, this crap is getting old. CMC is a Panther, he's running lights out and he's a Panther. Done and done. Can we stop with the who's better and would you trade CMC for this dude?

Pretty sure you don’t have to read something if you don’t like it

... That said,Barkley is a generational talent at rb...

Is there a more overused phrase in the last couple of years than "generational talent"?

A year ago, the same was said about Fournette. How can there be multiple generational talents in just a couple of years?

Being a generational talent doesn't mean it cant happen back to back years, basically means these guys are rare physical specimens. Fournette at 240 pounds was timed as the fastest player in the open field on big runs last season. Barkley and Fournette are special in different ways... But both are very uncommon and unique.

I have C-Mac in fantasy, and my opponent has Barkley. McCaffrey all the way, baby! For true! Take it to the bank! Word!

You want to know why (at least right now). Our defense is better than theirs on paper and in real life---much more potential to be realized. And, Norv is markedly greater than Shuls!

Then they should be called uncommon and unique, not generational. Generational talent implies talent like theirs only comes around every 20 years or so.

And I am not directing this criticism at you as much as I am the sports media that over dramatizes on a regular basis.

100% agree.

GOAT, phenom, generational talent, game changers, etc...it get's so damn tiring.

I’d probably give 5 RBs that description. At least ones I’ve seen.

 OJ

BO

Peterson

Barkley

Sanders- in a completely different way from the others.

Give me LT over those all day....IMO.

I can see that. I just didn’t see him that way coming out like the others. That’s on me. Wouldn’t have been honest on my part. Should replace OJ with Earl Campbell though. Since I didn’t see OJ in college

I thought that LT was the best pure running back for the modern times that I had ever seen.  Liked Faulk a lot too.

Obviously, I have a bit of a crush on those RB's that can run great routes, and have receiver like hands....they just change the way you can play the game.

    • I don’t go back and look at the espn but there live it definitely said 1 shot 1 goal when it happened. I guess they had not added them yet. Still allowing goals that early is rough. Blue line is a total disaster still. Even with Slavin back. Miller and Nikishin keep making mistakes after mistakes.
    • I generally disagree with the concept of picking a position because of value early in the draft. For instance, if there's a really good safety, RB or ILB at pick 10, I'm choosing him over a project WR or DE. Better players make the team better. A bunch of ok players will give you an ok team. The number 1 goal of the draft should be to improve the overall talent on the team. Not to fill positions of need.  Deciding beforehand that you're picking a LT in the first or second round because Ickey went down is not the way to improve the team. Now if Dan has similar grades on 2 or 3 players and one happens to be a LT, then yeah go for it. But don't pass on your guy at ILB because you have a gap at LT or need to improve the pass rush with a DE. When those guys don't pan out then you haven't improved your team. But that LB could have been a franchise cornerstone for years to come. See Luke Kuechly and Christian McCaffrey.
