When you're responsible for your QB getting two picks, I would say that's terrible.

To be fair, Cams second pick was just a rushed throw because Landon Collins made a hella move leaping over the attempted block of CMC. Thomas had nothing to do with that second pick, just a rushed throw. Now that first one, yes...

Tommy Jone surgery ?  Good luck to GO and us.  We all know what happened to Jake.

Completely different scenario to this than what happened to Jake. He effectively had to have his elbow structure rebuilt. At least for Greg this is a relatively easy injury to heal from. Tommy John surgery is no joke.

Ian Thomas was terrible yesterday. TE is gonna be a sore spot the entire season.

He was not good yesterday--i saw him whiff on blocks and he caused at least 1 interception. That means he is a rookie--not a sore spot. Cam improvises and it takes time to get on the same page with him--Olsen and Cam have it--it will take Thomas longer.

For example, on the second interception, Thomas sat down in a gap in the zone as he should have.  Cam expected him to continue to the sideline, so he threw a bad ball.  frankly, if Cam had read the defense properly, he should have thrown right at Thomas to force him to sit down.  Thomas did  the right thing--was Cam thinking he would not?

Basically, when Cam breaks the pocket, there is no script.  You know your QB and your QB knows you, you share one brain.  Thomas and Cam are strangers in that regard.

The first interception  was all Thomas.

This is the second thread about an old veteran suffering from a recurring injury--and the underlying premise is "career ending."  Got my brain to thinkin.  How different could next year be?

1. Thomas Davis --He wants to come back, but will he be able?  Already lost a step, but Luke is not the same LB with Davis out.

2.  Greg Olsen-- Broadcasters do not get injured and they do not have to go through year-round rehab and training.    At 33, Greg is oldish for a TE.  He has options--others do not.

3. Ryan Kalil--He already announced his retirement.  Over the past two years, he played in half of the games and earned about $10m per season.  It is time, said father time and the capologist.

4. Matt Kalil:  He is not old and probably not that hurt.  Still, at $11m per season to keep him, we can't afford to pay that much for the opposition to sack our QB.

5. Mike Adams:  He is old.

6. Julius Peppers:  A great player in his day, still good at 38.  Seems to have hit the wall though.  I doubt he comes back.

7. Capt. Munnerlyn.  Old for his position and he holds or gets burned on every play.  Time to let Captain's ship sail.

8.  Devin Funchess--he is on the bubble--but if he wants a huge payday, he may have to catch a few more balls-in bounds.

I realize that this is not that related to the thread,  but I also realize that week 5 is not the time to start this thread.

Lotta Cap room up there ^^

somebody's gonna stamp on that poo when they need to, or twist the fug out of it like like burfict.

even before the original injury he was always limping.   he always looked like he was playing with foot injuries to me, even when he was productive.   sucks.

I  love it that a lot of huddlers just write off players after a few games....then there above reproach when they have a good game.
