Would you rather he develop in the slot due to that game, or would you rather him learn all of the WR positions?

No snark from me, just a sincere question. I think that he is getting the time to learn all WR positions so that he can he a reliable threat anywhere at anytime. I think that might be better for his game as well as his confidence.

Personally, I think his game best suits the slot position and I think he could be soooo dangerous from there.

I’d rather just let him get his feet wet with real game experience and as the season goes on slowly throw a little more at him. Then come next offseason teach him the outside if needed. There’s nothing wrong with being a slot WR either, look at Jarvis Landry.

Ideally id still like to properly address the outside WR position. Samuel can take Torrey’s role and Devin is an FA that I definitely wouldn’t be too eager to pay. I’d hate to see us not get the most out of Moore’s game by pushing him out wide due to need.

*I should clarify why I think he’s better suited for the slot. It’s because he’s most likely going to get a free release from there most of the time. Give DJ a free release and he’s gone. Ran a corner route against Texas, one of my favorite plays of his. Corner played off and still got beat deep.

This idea that the coaching staff doesn’t know what they are doing with Moore is ridiculous.

He isnt  on the field a lot because he doesnt know the offense as well as some of the other guys.  It takes time.  They can’t put him out there if he’s not ready.

As as the season progroresses he will see an increase in snaps.

So what explains other rookie WRs on the Panthers and other teams over the years who contribute and get reps immediately? Are you saying Moore isn’t learning as fast and if so how do you know this? Or maybe you think our coaches aren’t doing a great job at teaching/developing him?

Im curious to your reasoning that while there are plenty of examples of rookie WRs, especially those who have shown their physically ready for the pros such as Moore, who contribute right away with many reps, Moore is not able to.

We didn’t take it easy on McCaffery during his rookie year. Why Moore? Ron is off the mark on this one.

To be fair. It is much easier to transition to the NFL at RB than it is at WR. Also, we, as fans, don't truly know the real reason(s) DJ is not getting more playing time. I would hope that as the season progresses, so will DJ's contributions.

I love people coming on here giving their opinion as to where and when DJ should play acting as if Norv is incompetent or isn't in control of the offense. Norv determines who plays when on offense not Ron. And he has run offenses for decades. And he is bringing DJ along and giving him more work  as he progresses. I am fine with where we are with him and trust Norv to know what he is doing. Who here knows more or has more experience than Norv? Yeah I am bringing out the whole Norv is a professional and knows what he is doing and you guys don't have a clue argument. And no I don't think he is wrong about DJ or holding him back.
