This was a yay/nay discussion topic in the game thread yesterday and in some other post-game threads.

But Cam, in his post-game press conference, said that his arm was hit.

So, though I think some of you may have a valid point about whether Cam's post-shoulder-surgery arm is the same as it was pre-surgery, particularly for long passes, that throw was in no way evidence for it one way or the other.

Personally, the way that ball came immediately off of his hand a wobbling dead duck, I thought the fact that his arm was hit was pretty clear.

You really have to be blind or operating a tube tv in order NOT to see that the pass was tipped, in live action. Fandom *sigh*

Anyone got a video? I had assumed he just lost his grip on it or something but I also had to watch on my phone due to storm related things so I obviously didn’t have a great look at it.

it was so incredibly blatantly obvious that is isn't really worth watching.

Oh right after our 2nd and 17 rushing attempt went for no gain!

2 straight weeks Ron/Norv have opted to run in which they figured was an obvious passing situation only to pick up nothing

Doesn’t really look that obvious from the end zone view. Maybe his elbow was grazed. Either way it doesn’t really matter since it was 3rd and 17 and it was the correct play to try and make in that situation. Basically was a punt.

I think I’ve read that statistically it’s the best call to make since typically in situations like that you end up getting 8-10 and make 3rd down much more manageable. Although we seem to be pretty bad at it.

This is from that video and shows a couple things pretty clearly:

1.  Cam's arm was definitely hit by the D lineman there.

2.  If his arm hadn't been hit, this was a TD.

Thanks. That clears it up. Was definitely hit on the elbow.
