Stephen A is the same guy who called cam a sellout for not “defending” Kap and accused him of protecting his brand. So excuse me if I don’t take a damn word he says seriously

Did you listen to the segment?  In addition to discussion about Reid, Smith was also talking about people who live their lives believing that if anyone disagrees with them on ANY subject that they are "bad".

That your only friends or allies must be people who agree with you 100% of the time.

You can't have friends or allies or like what someone else is saying if they happen to disagree with you on ANYTHING.

Its perfect, after listening to that segment, that the first post that was made after it was a guy who fits perfectly the exact description of what Smith was talking about.

What the hell does that have to do with smith assuming when cam chose to stay neutral during the peak of the kap situation, that he was a coward who was trying to protect his brand? This is word verbatim what he called cam. Smith has done this throughout his entire career, talk out his ass and I don’t need to listen to one segment to determine that when he’s proven time after time he will just rifle off his opinion as if it’s fact. You want to listen to some people with sense try Shannon Sharpe or Cris Carter, guys who actually have contact with both sides. Your original comment isn’t even 2% related to what I was referring to, reading comprehension foh

Lol the fact some of you want to jump on Stephen A’s bandwagon when dude did the exact same thing Reid did but directed at OUR qb is astonishing. Read up or check some articles out before you come in here diving on the sword for an analyst who is known for taking pop shots at the worlds biggest stars for a living

I guess you didn't notice the post right before the SAS post (and who posted it).

Lots of people are dumbasses.  I will still give *anyone* a fair listen and judge what they say on whether I think it is right or wrong, not whether or not it was said by a dumbass or not.

Even you, my friend. ;)

(P.S. That was a damn joke, don't get offended!)

Not offended but I think you took what I said the wrong way, both SAS and Eric Reid were wrong for there actions, let’s get that straight, but I’m not gonna take your opinion on a matter you yourself took part in just two years ago, now you act as if you didn’t go on live tv and damn the panthers qb and call him a sellout, it’s hypocritical. Whether he has a point or not, the general message isn’t well received from an offender. Sharpe nailed it on the head in his segment yesterday

I’m willing to give someone a couple chances but sas has made a living off of this, and I’m just not interested hearing his holier than thou stance any longer

Josh Norman said Eric Reid has it all wrong. The Washington cornerback attempted to tell the Panthers safety that in the offseason and again in a phone call this week.

Reid, Norman said, didn’t return his multiple phone messages after declining an offer to meet face-to-face this offseason.

Norman took up for Malcolm Jenkins on Thursday, four days after Jenkins and Reid had a pregame shouting match that spilled over in Reid’s postgame comments ripping the Players Coalition.

“To hear Eric come out and do what he did, it’s almost like, wow, that was a slap in the face because Malcolm has been nothing but stand up in the Players Coalition,” Norman said Thursday, via JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington. “Nothing but stand up, and everyone knows that.”

Reid called Jenkins a “sellout,” suggesting the Players Coalition’s acceptance of money from owners undercut the intent of Colin Kaepernick’s protests of police brutality and racial inequality. While making clear he supports Reid and Kaepernick fighting oppression in their own way, Norman doesn’t understand Reid lashing out at the Players Coalition, which Norman said is doing “real work” and “making true changes.”

“We’re all trying to go in the direction of helping people,” Norman said. “That is the main objective here. It’s not who gets this award; it’s not a parade here.”

You KNOW something is wrong with the guy when Josh Norman is infinitely more mature and level-headed.

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
