Cam hit while sliding, no call

What in the world are you saying here? Late slide? Legal slide? is there an illegal slide? There is only one slide. There is no different rendition of the slide.

A slide by definition is when a player voluntarily goes to the ground to stop progress of the play.

When someone says "late slide" they are just referring that the opposing player was already engaged to hit the sliding the player, therefore no penalty when there is contact, unless aiming for the players head or leading with their head.

What I just read above is a very complex thought process that appears to be something you have elected to conjure in your own mind. Maybe you are saying exactly what I just said but man... I have no idea what you are trying to say.

All I’m saying is this: if you’re not given the benefit of a “slide” THEN ALL IT IS IS JUST ANOTHER RUSHING PLAY.  And, in that case, you should be given the yardage at the spot you were touched down and NOT where you “started the slide”.

I have no problem with him being hit on that play. I have a problem with the spot.

Sorry if I was confusing.

Agree with others that the officials likely ruled that the defender had already left his feet.

Having said this, Cam isn't going to get much compassion when he showboats and walks into the end zone like he did on Sunday.  I thought that was in very poor taste and the Bucs were almost down for the count and I felt like they came back alive after that moment.  I thought someone was going to try to take Cam's head off for doing that and I'm glad the Bucs didn't go there because many teams/players would have.

I thought that was hilarious as a Panthers fan and was only angry at the illegal shift call.  Nobody on the defense knew where the ball was and it was within the rules

I agree. Rules are awful in the NFL. NBA is starting to follow suit and make up complex rules. I really wish I understood the process of the complexities, outside of the assumption it is to control the game.

I'm all for Cam staying healthy but was surprised as well that he didn't try harder as he usually does. I assume he thought he was already at/past the marker.

What's more surprising, well baffling, is Rivera decided to challenge that and waste a timeout instead of going ahead and calling a sneak

Not sure how you can make this about Rivera? If Cam does not slide early, he gets that 1st down, and we are still moving forward. But hey, it must be Riveras' fault somehow. Right?

And we did try the sneak the very next play. On which Cam was in such a hurry, he did not let his Oline get set. I suppose that is Ron's fault as well?

We are 6-2. We are right in the thick of things. Folks are taking us seriously. And yet, we get these "I ain't happy about this" threads. I guess the saying "You can't please everyone" is correct.
