Shaq wasn't filling TD's role. David Mayo played TD's role in our base defense. With TD and Shaq on the field, we actually get to stay in base more often which allows us to defend the run much easier. Part of the reason we were gashed over and over again against the Falcons was because they kept running right at Mayo.

Shaq was not the problem. Get that thought out of your head.

I posted in the game thread that last year I thought TD had lost a step but that this year so far he is proving me wrong and beasting.

It’ll be important to draft another great lb to replace old man TD. It’s almost worth a first round pick because LK and ST play so well when the third man is strong.
