Life is Good

I appreciate the fact that we have passionate fans and none more so than those that post here and the members of the Roaring Riot. Our team got their collective asses kicked last night and you know what? We get to watch them again next week. And the week after that. We have a good team. Are they the best team? No. But do they have a chance to have a great season? Of course they do. I'm simply appreciative of the fact that I get to watch my team at least 16 times a year as frustrating as it may be at times. But life is good. We could all go back to pre-1995 but that would suck. On to the next one.

Well that's just good for you.  Life ain't great for me....I get to watch the cardiac cats play every week which means I have to monitor my blood pressure every week or else I'm gonna stroke out one day!  LOL  After that showing last night against the steelers, where they got bent over and raw dogged, I have an appointment with the Doc coming up.

All we’re doing is throwing all of our time and money to a team that doesnt want to win a championship. This is one of those teams that win just enough to keep putting people back in the seats and buy jerseys to make this franchise rich and fat. There are only 3-5 teams that really do all they can to win each and every year. And one of those teams was the one that slapped us like the ex-gf from elementary last night.

Or we could sell the team, not have anyone to root for, and then you'll be happy? Cheer up buttercup

Best thing you can do as a hardcore panthers fan is just take time off starting today and enjoy the other aspects of your life, and come back to watch the lions game next weekend.

I think I personally got too invested after that Eagles win and I was so upset last night for the first time ever I turned the television off part way through the 3rd quarter because of how bad they looked. Too aggravated to do anything afterwards. I tried going to sleep right after but tossed and turned and didnt go to sleep until 3 something I would guess.

Its not worth it put that much energy into it. Leave that to the coaches/staff/players who are actually getting paid to do it.  As a fan, just treat it like it is; a game you have no control over that's entertainment.

Even for you this statement is....goofy as all get out. I dare you to go up to a Panther Player and tell him he doesn't care about winning a Championship. Go ahead. I beg you. Do it.

One game, it sucked...bad.  Good thing is it's a learning experience for a lot of guys.  Don't burn the tape, learn from the tape, get better.  We still control our own destiny, and at the end of the day I'd rather lose to AFC teams then conference or divisional teams.  Also, we still control our own destiny, so there is a ton of football left to play.  What we need is to get this defense on track, that's the most worrisome part of it all.

The NFL is a fickle bitch. Step off the ledge and be realistic. We are a good team that had a bad game. Last week you guys were on cloud 9.

Nah, there were those who were bitchin' and moanin' then, too, but they are the hardcore pessimists who are going to miserable until we get a fifth ring.

And then there's some of us who don't give up until that last game is played. Bad losses hurt, but we move on to the next.

Then there are a bunch of fans who run from one bandwagon to the next, their hearts all aflutter, praising the stars one moment, calling for the coaches' heads the next. High strung, noisy, but there they are, what can you do about them?

    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
