CAM is hurt????

Not a single scramble today - not a single designed run.  One play the entire left side of the field was empty and he never even considered taking off.

Could that hit into the shoulder he took last week be more than it seemed?

yes, he threw fairly well at times today - but when do you recall Cam never running at some point?

Yea I think something is up but Cam Newton rarely seems to scramble when he should.  The whole "Cam Newton has gotten better at standing in the pocket" annoys me when I hear it from other fans or announcers.  Newton always seems to pass up obvious opportunities to take off and run.

But IMO I've never seen it more blatant than today, which makes me think something is hurting him unless Norv Turner simply has told him not to but that would seem odd.  On that 3rd down he took the sack near the goal-line, he had all day to run to the left.

Even if he is, what in the world do some of you expect? The man consistently puts the team on his back. He had over 300 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. And what does he get for his efforts? His own fans here calling him SCaam Newton. So embarrassing.

WHY WON'T THIS FORUM EVER ALLOW ANYONE TO CRITICIZE Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire??!?!?!

i thought his throwing motion was a little different on the first drive.  he wasn't whipping his head, which i thought was great.   balls were right on.  but that is interesting about his shoulder and him not running today.   i thought he played great.   line sucks, d sucks.  he's why rr has a job.  i really believe that. sucks.

2 weeks ago he was running more than he had in several years... they game plan for a reason. Sometimes people here are so clueless. RR didn’t throw Cam under the bus, the ball was high and Wright was wide open. Second worst throw into the endzone I have seen him make. The other one lost us a game too, against the shithawks that bounced at a TEs feet. That play didn’t cost us the game. But a mix of other garbage from the team did, and Newton pointed it out. The garbage defense is killing me... I have to take a break from watching, it’s not any fun. If they were losing games to teams they were worse than, I can tolerate that.. but this is just bad football

I think this is 100% accurate.  We didn't have one designed run for him.  Put him in very little danger of contact and he didn't scramble on plays he would normally take off on.

If we end up 6-6 in the next two weeks.  I think we shut him done and let our backup run the show.  It gives him some opportunities to get some actual game time experience.
