Here's a VERY realistic road map to Rivera being fired after the season...

the bigger is ron calls a very similar defense, structurally and stylistically to John Fox, so in essence in the panthers have been running the safe defense since 2002. And lmao Peppers has been here for almost all of it.

Think how much the nfl has changed in the last decade and a half?

It's just time for a change.

Y'all are so short-sighted.

You do realize that NO will have the #1 seed by the time we play the final game, and will rest all of their starters? We might have a shot at that game.

It'll be in New Orleans and even the Saints' backups are very good. Need I remind you that Brees' backup is Teddy Bridgewater, someone who could absolutely beat our defense.

He gone.

Our season took some body blows against Atlanta and Washington.  Then we got fooled by the comeback in Philly, and an exciting record-long GW FG  against NYG, when really we deserved to lose both of those games based off our performance in all 8 quarters.  Then Pittsburgh put the the team in a coffin, and today, Detroit put the nails in it.

Tepper won't put up with this mediocre poo.  He inherited Rivera, and I think he's seen enough to know he is a problem.

Also, we probably finish 8-8 and New Orleans is going to relentlessly pummel us into dust both games.  I hate that it's another year wasted, but if it gets us out from under Rivera, so be it.

If what you say is true then we should buy the brooms and be ready to hand them over to the AInts.

missing the playoffs after starting 6-2, getting destroyed by the steelers on primetime, and getting worked in 2 of the last 3 games (which would probably have to happen for the Panthers to miss) would have to be enough to get him fired.

I'd also throw out if he keeps trotting Funchess out there over Moore and Samuel. You've got to be able to recognize talent and start it. Funchess is going nowhere with this team.

I'll say this, i support going for 2, Gano was awful and heaven forbid he missed the extra point people would have been screaming that Ron is an idiot and should have went for two.  Its a move that if you make it your a genius, if you miss your a fool.  We missed.  Regardless, the time of defensive coordinators being head coaches in the NFL is over.  This league is catered to offense and fantasy football.  Defenses are speed bumps now.  Whats the point of having Ron Rivera in this era of football, especially when the defense sucks.  He useless...Get a offensive genius in here (and no Norv is not head coaching material).  I'm actually jealous of the Bears and what they have in Matt Nagy.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
