Will they though?

Didn't Payton wind up losing a playoff game a while back after resting his starters in the final week?

Not that I recall. I know that in 2009, they had the division locked up, came here for Week 17, we were 7-8, they played their backups and we won a cold-ass game. Taking all things into consideration (final teams' records, where they are entering Week 17) 2018 looks like 2009 redux.

I remember somebody doing that not so long ago. I thought it was Payton but I'm not that certain.

Very important game this weekend.

Can't really say we could sleep walk into this one. At home against an obviously better than people thought Seahawks team

If we come out flat its a huge indictment of Rivera and this team's lackadaisical attitude this season.

Really not looking forward to this game. Just don’t want to see the same story again. Panthers mounting a comeback in the 4th, then Russell Wilson scrambles and makes some miracle bs play or draws cheap penalties that seal the L.

The team needs to come alive again this week. Enough is enough.

I think you're thinking of the other offensive minded coach named Sean. McVay rested everybody in the last game last year, and they got beat by the Falcons in the playoffs on the opening weekend.

This week we play at home.  On grass.  Vs a team that hasn't been very good.

Seattle has been competitive in every game this season w/4 of their 5 losses coming against legitimate playoff teams; Rams (twice), Chargers and Bears. Only one of their losses has been by more than a touchdown (Chargers/8 points).

Don't delude yourself into thinking that the Seahawks don't pose a legitimate threat to our playoff chances, because they do.

If the best version of the Panthers show up, the win will likely go to team that scores last.
