I think you need to start looking at stuff like this now if you're Tepper.    Does it really matter if we make playoffs?   Rivera is not getting us over the hump.    Unless he's completely a different person and this defense becomes 85' Bears then it's just time to move on.

People also aren't mentioning Olsen, I don't think it's a given he's back.

It's why I'd like to see Thomas get more run. Is he the answer as Greg's replacement or is he a backup? We need to know. Either way, Olsen doesn't have much left in the tank one way or the other. No matter what he wants to do, his feet may end up retiring him anyway. Big men and foot issues are a bad combo, especially when they're in their mid-30s.

Fortunately, since we're just fans, it really doesn't matter what we focus on. It won't impact a thing.

So you finally got my point. After these few long years.

unfortunately, I am not able to go and cheer my ass off every week. But those that do. Effect things just a little. It’s no wonder we are undefeated at home and horrible elsewhere this year.

We need a d fense dominate draft barring some big splashes in fa.

Reid needs to be resigned to replace Adams, he’s be a hell of a box safety. Seen enough of Shaq l, he’s just a jag, draft a lb in the first 3 rds. dt seems to have reverted back to a weakness, either pick on up in fa or draft one in the first 3 rds. De we need to go out and spend some money on fa AND spend a high draft on one. Funchess walks, Butler needs to go as well at some point. We need a pass specialist safety, with this division you need balance on the back end and a good pass rush. Offense is set imo, sign Williams back and Clark, grab some depth or developmental o linemen in the later rounds. Funchess will be addition by subtraction, paving the way for Moore and Curtis. Keep wright, and I’d offer smith a modest 1yr to 2 yr deal. Figure out if Thomas is capable of being a Olsen replacement.

also we need another cb, bradberry at this rate is just a decent cb if he can’t develop some ball skills, cap is washed, and elder isn’t getting any pt given how bad cap has played at times

We have major concerns especially on defense.

Did Luke just have a bad year? Or is he on the decline? Either way LB is a concern with TD near retirement and Shaq being so inconsistent.

We all know the concern for the secondary SS/FS.

DE is probably the position we need the biggest help at. I think we address this with our 1st pick in the draft.

Offense is looking good. The only concern is TE. Is Thomas Olsen replacement or do we need to find another reliable target.

HC will be Ron, the way it's going it looks like it will be hard for us to miss the playoffs. I think the wildcard gets Ron an extra year for Tepper.

Quick note to the folks talking about us tanking...

A few seasons back, a lot of us were calling on Rivera to sit Cam for the last few games in a season where we were eliminated from the playoffs.

Rivera kept Newton starting right up to the bitter end, even when it no longer mattered.

This season, we're legitimately still viable for the playoffs, and a lot of the NFC is mediocre enough that even if we continue to play poorly, there's a good chance we'll still be in the hunt till late in the season.

So basically, that ain't happnin'

Somebody here mentioned Scott Turner,  who is currently on staff as Cam's QB coach. If it ever came to that, he could definitely change the approach as far as the offense.

My only problem with Ron is that he's not coaching in the moment. If a guy is having trouble, next man up. You're not there to help Devin's phsyche, you're in the touchdown and defense business. This is a nice roster on paper. Ron needs to run the defense and let Washington study the feel. Giving the players all those days off after Pittsburgh? No. Mistakes Riverboat shouldn't be making. He'd better right the ship or...

I'd like to see Norv wrap his head around this offense. I'm on the "Cam should have ran it" train. I don't think Cam is being utilized enough in this regard. The guy CAN be a pocket passer but that's only part of what makes him speacial. If he's the best in the league at something why call a pass on that 2pt conversion. You hit em' in the mouth!

Rivera and company can't afford to tank nor should it even be considered while sitting at 6-4 and very much still in the playoff hunt. But that was infuriating when we kept playing Cam with a bad shoulder when we were already out of contention. Someone over Ron's head should've stepped in and put an end to that madness.

They need to get SERIOUS about DE if Pep plays or not. They're lucky Pep is here and making his presence felt. They are missing a disruptive presence when Pep is off the field. It's not Obada or Horton, who is solid but not at all "disruptive".

DE's are very expensive and hard to find. Anybody think @Nails can think of anybody "disruptive" who may energetically "owe" the Panthers $13mill? May be a cheap fix. Him and Peppers together. Ooooowee mayne!

DE, LB(a beast), DT are a must this draft.

I think we need to just create a separate sub-forum and banish Nails and sanjay to it where they can spam away to their hearts' content about Hardy and TEs.

You can clearly see that our defense wil look very different next season. We have a lot of age on that side of the ball but they way they've been performing of late a re-tool is a good idea.

Defensive line could be overhauled at both positions.

Left guard needs an upgrade. Left tackle belongs to Moton. Williams should be retained, just pay him. Reid can stay, he takes bad angles but can be a thumper.

Moore and Samuel are Mark Clayton and Mark Duper, both have Pro Bowl potential and would be a nightmare starting together. Adding ANOTHER wr who's just as good would be exciting and I wouldn't mind if it's a high draft pick and i don't mind being the only person who likes that idea.
