Obviously, he chose the first option and here we are on a Monday. With Eric Washington at "Front 7" Coach and Ron Rivera the new D Coordinator.

I believe the term is demoted.  

He excelled with the line, we should have moved him there to begin with.  Hoke sucked.

Basically he was demoted back down to D-line/Linebacker coordinator. Ron commented he wants to give him a 2nd chance, but for now demonstrate how to be a kick-ass defensive coordinator & not suck so much.

Washington got shoved out of the way to save Ron's ass. Ron's auditioning for another job right now, unless the Panthers make some noise in the playoffs he is gone

Ron said Eric is still the DC(believe if you want), said he was doing a great job. 

If you look at the 2nd half of Sunday’s game the defense held Tampa to zero points except for when they called the 52 yard foul.

It's that the front seven aren't doing well in his absence. They're trying to get things back to where they were so Washington is back in his room because there is a lot of $ in that room.

Ron taking the secondary and gameday play call. They'd better right the ship. Some coaches can call plays and since that was Ron's specialty and he's able maybe he should have always called his defense.

Too bad Riverboat only flexes when the boat is taking on water. He could have carved out a different more sucessful career as his alter ego.
