REPORT: Tampa would be interested in Ron Rivera if we fire his ass

God no. Rivera would lead bucs to a Super Bowl. Can you imagine the agony?? He’d have to get out of the division at least. I don’t think he should go anywhere though.

This has been a sucky way to end a season, but I don’t, and probably won’t ever think it’s all on coach. There’s a ton of moving parts and it sucks but i think this is just a bad season and we could stand to cut some old weight that is sitting there dragging the team down. Love our vets but some of them make me feel young.

And our QB has to get better. Loved his first down run but man... gotta stay in tune with the game and stop that clock and don’t let opportunities slip by.

We could have won that game. We should have. It seems like each game the players could have made one less mistake. Caught one more ball and would be sitting in a whole different scenario now.

but they dropped balls and celebrated the first down run and gave up points when it really mattered.

Signed through 2020, Rivera will have financial security, if Tepper decides to make a change. Rivera also could end up with a new job; already, speculation has emerged in some circles that Rivera could move to the top of the list in Tampa, if/when (when) the Buccaneers fire Dirk Koetter.

So, if I understand you right, firing Ron Rivera would be a double-blessing for the Carolina Panthers?

The last several games have proven just how successful Ron is as a head coach when he isn't riding the coattails of an elite QB who can overcome his coaching shortcomings.  Let Tampa take him and then watch them burn when he trots Winston or some other scrub QB out there next season.
