While this is sad to know, I think Newton should have been benched earlier for health reasons, not competitive ones.

You can adjust the game plan (and they obviously did) to account for such things. Putting in a backup is a whole other story.

He is nothing but a man with a "church lady" face on the sideline getting carried by the most athletic QB in history--he never did anything to preserve Cam--didn't get him a good line, got him big slow WRs, put in the options and the qb draws---RR whipped Cam like a rented mule--now he is about to pay the price.
