If the Saints beat the Panthers and the Buccaneers beat the Falcons

There will be three teams behind New Orleans in the NFC South with identical 6-10 overall records.

However, the NFL tie-breaking procedure order goes as follows: (1) head-to-head record, (2) divisional record, (3) record in common games, (4) conference record, etc.

That being the case, if the situation in the title of my post occurs, the Carolina Panthers would end the 2018 season LAST in their division.

I predicted that we would be battling for last place in the division when the season started.  No I'm not happy about that.  But I did see this coming.

Six division games this season, five played, the last yet to come...

We've won only one, and that against the worst of our three rivals.

One of the other rivals has already swept us, despite the fact that they were having a terrible season and had already been eliminated from the playoffs even before we were.

The other, the best of the three, could complete a second consecutive sweep of us, after which they'll probably send us another broom to commemorate it.
