Sounds great in theory but the OC won’t use em unless CMC goes down...it didn’t happen and next year will be the same.  Obviously.

We overcooked the McCaffery dish. He performed exceptionally well, and I love his toughness. But it was an ineffective strategy. It limited the entire offense just enough to potentially cost them a couple of those close games.

So naturally, the best thing to do is to cut a good running back and reduce the offensive roster depth.

They lost 5 games by one score in Nov/Dec. As bad as the pass defense was, the redzone offense was also terrible.

We'd have had some options that we didn't have after letting him go.

What I can't say for certain is whether our coaching staff would have used them. They were already being dumbasses in that regard.

Add to that the absolute unbridled ignorance of Rivera saying that next year they needed to find a complementary back for McCaffrey and it's like watching a bad sitcom.
