Hell, Bill even adapts and changes his philosophy game to game. It’s quite remarkable.

As an Eagles fan, do you think Andy Reid will finally get the best of BB? History isn't on his side, as talented as the Chiefs are, it hasn't been all that pretty for Andy in the postseason over the years.

Number one offense lost the Super Bowl to the number one defense in 2015.

Just saying.

And they've ramped up the enforcement of illegal hits since then. Unfortunately for us, the broncos were allowed to use Cam's head as a pinata even though those hits were still technically illegal back then too.

The “high flying” Saints won this game when they ate up nearly the entire 3rd quarter with a patient, methodical, balanced drive that went nearly 20 plays over 11 minutes.

And those same Saints sport the league’s most dominant run defense.

The league is not all about 9 routes.

The Saints are the statistically worst offense remaining. They were #8 in the regular season. They're also the best remaining defense at #14.

It really is. He was running power I at the chargers today with Devlin mowing people over. The chargers has absolutely no answer.

Hes on another level the likes of which we may never see again.

People who say defense wins championships are fossils with a delusional mindset.

Last season the eagles and pats had the second and third ranked offense, the year before that the falcons and pats had the first and third ranked offense, our best season we had the number 1 ranked offense.

Offense>>>>>>defense in today’s nfl

Yes.

The Rams have ramped up their run game, as well. Well over 175 a game down the stretch here, 279 last night.

They’ve rushed for 270+ yards 3 times this season, and are ranked 8th in rush attempts, 14th in pass attempts.

I don’t put a lot of stock into the defensive rankings of really good offensive teams because the numbers are usually skewed due to the opposing team having to play catch up.

What I Can tell you is that both the Saints and Pats are playing really sound defensive football and have been doing that for the last 8 to 10 weeks.

I look for both of those defenses to be the difference in those games next week.

It’s actually the opposite, a good offense makes the opposing team abandon their offensive game plan and become one dimensional.

The saints actually have the 3rd best offense

Judging an offense by yards instead of points is dumb

#8 overall offense, #3 scoring offense. Different metrics, but that's the way it's always been. If you want to value scoring offense > overall offense, that's fine and understandable but just understand the metrics. Scoring offense does not equal overall offense and it's not worth getting mad about.

It will go back. Next season defense could dominate in the NFL.

If I grant your premise, I guarantee the NFL would change the rules to advantage the offense and disadvantage the defense yet again.

Because that sells tickets.

And gets higher TV ratings.

Some of y'all will just never learn.

"RUN DE BALLZ AND PLAY DAT DEFENTS EVEN IF DA NFL GONNA MAKE SHUR DAIR REFZ FLY DE FLAGZ WHEN DAT HAPPENZ!"
