Officiating was disgusting.

Makes you think....league forces rams to LA, then this

horrible call...cost saints the game

but...hehe

I agree!!  My Dad and I discussed this...perfect for the NFL eh!  Glad the Saints lost, but still, the officiating was horrible!  Saints would definitely be in the Super Bowl if not for that no call that was clearly obvious!

If Payton calls running plays instead of being a jackass and letting Brees throw it we aren’t even talking about a missed call

Looked like Brees got hit in the face and Thomas was held on the int as well

After picking on DBs the entire season, there sure were a lot of ignored PI calls, in both games, on Sunday that even my novice ass saw. Even though this call is obviously getting all the attention, the refs let all 4 teams get away with a lot down field grabbing and pushing down field.

It was definitely PI, but FUG THE TAINTS!

Ginn can shove it up his ass.  Don't ever want the fuker back.  Has the droppsies the whole time he's here, then learns to catch in NO. It was like he was a double agent.  Parades a broom on us last year.  Whatever.  Go *** yourself Ginn.

By the book you could literally call a penalty on multiple players every single play.

At first.  The players will adjust their behavior when they realize that it hurts the team.  The first few games will be ugly though.

Perhaps, I'd call that conjecture.  Just as easily the coaches could simply commit to not adjusting and forcing the NFL's hand knowing penalty filled games are not what the league or fanbase wants.

For discussion, lets say I agree with you.  Once all the varieties of holding cease to occur, all the handchecking past 5 yards, all the picks on screens, ya know, all the little poo that's technically a foul but never called.  Without some latitude in calling these, I propose football would look very different.  Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad different, but it'd certainly be a gamble that a very very successful business doesn't need to take to remain successful.

I think the most maddening part is its called sometimes.  Roughing the passer is called if Brady is literally just touched with a hand...meanwhile helmet to helmet full steam hits on Cam...nothing.  That is the fuking crap that needs to stop.  As for holds, they make a huge difference in a game....and are called soooo unevenly.  I don't know that we have to call every misstep, but we need to address the Odell Beckham behavior.

That would be a great argument if Cam wasn't 2nd overall only behind Cousins in active starting QB's when it comes to roughing the passer calls per game. Brady isn't in the top 10. Per sack, Cam is ahead of Brady as well. Different styles of play but this narrative is exaggerated around here.

    • Have to stop making everything about BY. They will and have been bringing in players to improve the TEAM, not just Bryce Young. Which is something they should have done BEFORE bringing in a rookie QB. Even Metchie is a generally good pickup at a position of need. He just happens to have played with BY in college. And that doesn't hurt his chances or the team's. Morgan just addressed the biggest areas of need on the team via free agency so they won't be reaching for a position of need in the draft. He's legit picking the best player available for the TEAM in the draft. The o-line was in shambles in 2023. He addressed it in 2024. The d-line was in shambles in 2024. He addressed it in 2025. The pass rush and linebackers were in shambles in 2025. He's addressed it in 2026. Unfortunately good young WRs don't hit the FA market, so can't just throw money at them. You have to draft them. I wonder what some would be saying if they'd spent the amount of cap on the offense that they spent on the defense in 2025 and 2026 - and then used both first round draft picks on defense. Would that have been better in your eyes? No. You would be complaining that the defense is too young to compete and more vets weren't brought in because they're trying to prop up BY. This team should be talented enough now to make some noise in the South. If BY is actually holding them back, then QB will be addressed in 2027. They benched him 2 games into their tenure and you think they're tied to his success. No. That doesn't compute. They're tied to the team's success. BY could throw for 5000 yards and if they're 4 - 13, head's will roll.  TLDR: Their decisions aren't driven by making BY look good. They're trying to improve the team and win games. Period.
    • I still firmly believe that Tepper still has his mandate of make Bryce work or get fired and because of that, it doesn't matter how badly he does... He'll get a long term deal in the 40-50m range and set back this franchise for a decade. Then the Teppers will have another QB infatuation and maybe they get it right then.
