The Panthers have signed DE Efe Obada to a one-year extension. So he'll definitely get to play in front of his London hometown crowd in 2019.

We signed him for one year and I'd be willing to bet that it's for minimal or no guaranteed money.

No, he's definitely not a lock to make the roster but given our current DE corps there's probably not a better situation out there for him to make a roster.

I'd hoped we'd sign him up. I'm sure it is pretty minimum with incentives.

I think, in the right situations, he's got the tools and skill to be an efficient pass rusher. We just have to play to his strengths, just like everyone else's.

I'd like to see him add a little bulk and strength overall, so that he gets a better push. He's got more than adequate quickness, but I think he just needs to add some mass in order to be more effective.

Efe Obada of course was delighted to sign the one-year contract. But he knows he hasn't arrived. A lot still to prove. “Main thing for me is being consistent & trusting my training. I’m going to work on my weaknesses – knowledge of the game, recognizing things a bit quicker."
