NFL Draft genius Tony Pauline's 3-round mock draft spectacular

Terrible draft and I wish people would stop saying Dillard. He will get Cam killed in his rookie year. He was mediocre in the Senior Bowl. I would take Lindstrom at G or Bradbury at C at 16 over Dillard and I would never advocate taking them at 16.

Please lord, let Montez Sweat be there at 16 so we can pick BPA and DE all in one and not reach on a crappy safety or mediocre tackle.

This would please me greatly. I'm afraid a strong Combine will put him out of reach for us, but of it does then maybe it would push someone like Clelin Ferrell down.

Right now, Sweat, Ferrell, and Christian Wilkins are my top 3 and I haven't really decided on the specific order. I would be delighted with any of them at #16.

I’d be good with DT if we dump Poe and use the extra money on someone like Clark and hopefully re-sign Williams (assuming healthy). We need to go DL, C/G, DL, C/G, T with our first 5 picks. T is depth we sorely need but not a high pick for a bench guy. Should have ignored Haynes and taken Crosby from Oregon. Short sighted projects when we knew Kalil sucked and Williams was a FA. T should have been the pick there.

Still amazed that people call him Hurney 2.0. I like Moore, Donte and Thomas, but the FAs and the dumb projects. At least Gettleman tried at OL. I still can’t fathom that Hurney select no OL in the draft and no FA moves when we had Kalil sucking, Norwell leaving, Ryan retiring after 2018 and Williams as a FA after 2018. The potential to loose 80% of the starting 2017 OL including 3 pro-bowlers/all-pros and you draft Gaulden and Haynes?

The more I think about it all, the more I really wish we got a new GM this off season. I have 0 faith and it worries me that too many sites are having us reach for a mediocre OT at 16. I just feel like Marty is reading that stuff. If we draft Dillard, afte letting Williams walk, I may not watch a game. Not because I’m pissed but because I don’t want to watch Cam’s career ending hit because our DL is so bad that he’s throwing it 50 times a game and getting hit 15 of those.

I don't want Hurney hanging around either but I think you're a little blinded by Hurney hate. We all pretty much knew at the time that Turner and Short were re-signed that we had made our choice and that we'd pretty much have to let Norwell and Star walk. In hindsight, I sure wish we had given Norwell Turner's contract and let Trai walk and given Star the contract the Bills gave him and let Short walk. But I have to admit, when the calls were made I thought they were the correct ones. Who knew that Short and Turner would mail it in after getting paid?

If the draft fell like that give me

1st- Greg Little OT/Greedy Williams CB/Jachai Polite DE/OLB (if we switch to 3-4)

2nd-  Zack Allen DE

3rd- Chris Lindstrom OG

3rd- BPA/Trade up for Christian Williams DE/OLB

u do know most drafts have allen going from the 1st to second pick overall right?

You heard it here 1st, we're taking Washington State LT Andre Dillard at #16

You have a list of the top QBs in the 2020 class?

Because you may need to start reading hard into that because Cam wont last behind Dillard

Short hasn’t been 2015-2017 Short but he’s been way better than Poe and Star. I think Poe’s play really hurt him. Heck even our DE fall off didn’t help. No idea on Turner.

Go back and watch him again. He rarely got doubled. He just got straight handled repeatedly by single blockers. That's on him. You pay a DT $17M to create havoc, not be a JAG.

Star doesn't put up the stats, but he does the work. In 2017 with Star, we had the #7 overall defense and the #3 run defense. The Bills had the #26 overall defense and the #29 run defense without Star.  In 2018 without Star, we slipped to the #15 overall defense and the #12 run defense while the Bills with Star leaped up to the #2 overall defense with the #16 run defense.

Star is a definite difference maker and I would absolutely take him and his contract over Short and his contract. No doubt about it.

My opinion exactly.. Don't get cute get what the draft is giving you in abundance.. Fixed the trenches DLINE or Oline 1st 3 picks..

I have a free safety with our 5th round pick (granted, this my is pre-combine, practically no research, I don't follow college football mock draft). I'm intrigued by Ugo Amadi. He's a little undersized, but a real ball hawk, 3 int last season, 2 for pick 6's, 8 PD's, 55 tackles, 4 for a loss, 1.5 sacks. Plus Amadi returned 14 punts for 223 yards and a score in 2018. He also won the Lombardi Award, so he's obviously a good locker room presence. He's being mocked in the 6th, 7th or undrafted, but I think that'll change with the combine.  Bonus points...he played nickel for Oregon before switching to safety.

BTW, here's the rest of my pre-combine way too early mock draft. It will likely change 6-7 more times:

16 - Montez Sweat - DE, Miss State

47 - William Sweet - LT, UNC

77 - Vesean Joseph - OLB, FL

100 - Erik McKoy - C, Texas

115 -  Interior line.   We could possibly bundle with 100 to move up for a starting center, McKoy, Gaillard, and Jenkins may all be off the table by 100.  If not, lets look at guard; Prescod (NC State), Deiter, (Wis), McGovern (Penn) could all be around at 115.

154 - Ugo Amadi - FS, Oregon

187 - who really cares?

Norwell didn't play that well for Jacksonville, FWIW.

Different systems. He was very good in ours. But, it's also why I thought it was absurd to make him the highest paid OG in NFL history. He was a very good OG for us, but IMO it was pretty easy to see his physical limitations. We largely kept him in his comfort zone where his relative lack of athleticism wouldn't be an issue.
