Looks like we've only met with tackles at the combine so far...

I swear to god if we don’t put Moton at LT..

We could as a last resort, but he is a proven RT.  If the coaches thought he was a LT, I have a pretty good idea that he would have been on the QB's blind side in 2018 when Kalil went down.  We know he is a solid, future pro bowl RT.  I am not sure he can handle LT--nobody is.  I know this---he did not beat out Kalil at LT last year at the beginning of the season.

What if he is a stud RT but only an adequate LT?  People think (not you, necessarily) that LT and RT are interchangeable.  They are different.

It is interesting because at the end of the college season this was talked about as a weak tackle class. It’s definitely grown on me but I’m still hoping we get a tackle at 47 not 16. It doesn’t seem like we’ll re-sign Williams. I hope we meet with a lot of C/Gs as well. We need improvements there as well and I know that’s deep. Van Roten and Larsen aren’t good enough.

Also, we will continue to meet more players.

Yep.  Larsen and Van Roten are not starters.  If we draft a rookie LT, I hope we do not go with a rookie LG and C--I recommend a veteran C and maybe a LG in free agency.  I think Kalil will be cut after the draft (post June 1) if we grab a T.

I still hope they will try Moton at LT, but I do not see any signs that they will.

We played Chris Clark at LT because supposedly he is better at LT than he is at RT. Same might be true to Kalil. If you want a truly scary thought, think about how bad they must be at RT.

I've heard some draft guys claim that this class of OTs is one of the best in years.  Lots of good quality RTs and several who have LT traits that could develop into future LTs.

Might be a good idea to look at those guys.

all i've heard is that they are garbage so this is a first.

Given we fielded an OL that was in the top third of the league it's odd to say Van Roten isnt a starter. He was solid. No worse than Turner

Agree but I really really hope we just lock up Williams, keep him at right and move Moton to LT and be set there. Then can look at OT on day 2 or 3 if opportunity presents itself for depth.

I don't know if Moton can play LT...I mean, is he left handed? hahahah.....

But realistically, do we try to run unproven Moton on an island?  In one of these posts, it's been noticed how much help Williams got.  That means Moton would be stuck without help a LOT.  I'm not sure how comfortable I am with that.  I'd say if we can find a dancing bear in the 2nd round, pull the trigger there.  I could deal with the struggles as long as there is upside.  Moton was a very good RT, without the same level of help Williams had.

For me, I'd say let Williams collect a big payday elsewhere.
