Understandable, but the OP that shared it has a great reputation so to me that gives it at least the weight to be considered. This is reinforced for me especially when taking into account Agent 89's history of verbally and physically assaulting teammates along with Ben Hartsock's sharing of how Smitty bullied Cam.

Yeah I remember, I just think something of this magnitude would have came out by now, plus if smith knowingly did this and still is taking shots at dg, that would beyond idiotic, as he would bring attention to why he was release, thus a story like this being leaked and smith being blasted media wide

Cam allowed himself to be "bullied"?!?  How is that possible?

Cam is a 6'6", 255lb Adonis and you're telling me he allowed himself to be "bullied" a 5'8", 192lb'er?!?

Seriously?  One of the baddest men to ever play the game was bullied by a shrimp?  How can that even be possible?

The shrimp is the one in that scenario that is one of the baddest men to play the game.

Fighting and bullying arent about size. In their primes I would put my money on Smitty without question.

TBF, you're one in a million with most of those millions trying to resell it. I wouldn't even bother with it. They've been told to avoid people without kids and most of those people now just use their kids to get the signature. Maybe he had a bad day, who knows. Can't go out just calling someone an asshole.

Dude, literally everyone that has known S.S. and has spoken of him in social media says he's an ass....that's not a coincidence....lol...I mean, just listen to him, does he sound like a nice, reasonable, rash, non-confrontational person???.... Serious? He's the kind of person you just want to chokeslam...lol. The only language he has ever understood.

Lt isn’t context, Could he have replaced Jericho, Avant, Philly brown etc. he had a better year than our WR damn near every year off the team.

Trying to figure out how hurney finds his way into a discussion about dg releasing smith and the manor he did it.....you and bringing up hurney in irrelevant arguments is some kind of niche of yours. Again what exactly does the 3 years before the gm that released him got hired have to do with this discussion, enlighten me please...

I haven’t debated whether smith was a saint or not, but to release smith because of his character and keep hardy on the team is quite the dilemma, doing so like you suggested because it’s based off an event that occurred 5 years ago is also a little off base. He continue on another team for 3 more years without any problems....

Because you brought “different GMs and QBs” for some reason which I questioned immediately. And many more times. I only brought him up a saying he was SS GM most of career.  Correct? So try another deflection from the truth.

And I can just as easily say he would have not allowed Cam to be MVP caliber. Calling for the ball and mental stability were just as much a certainty as a perfect scenario makes SS the missing link to a SB.

Not everyone's reaction to the situation is sucker punching a teammate and breaking his face.

What are you talking about? You’re the one who brought up Smith’s previous 3 years from 2013, that has zero to do with this particular argument , please go re read this poor attempt at twisting the truth when I can easily go back and read my post is piss poor.

There’s no proof staying he’d call for the ball, he had a rookie of the year campaign with smith, hard to say he wouldn’t have had a mvp season with him as well

But I sure didn’t say one word about GMs. DID I? You did. And if you’re comparing 3 years forward like you did, why not 3 years back. Or is this more of the just talk about what helps me BS. You just railed that I brought Hurney into this. Did I bring up GMs? NO. FACT. And I directly quoted what you said. So how about you go back and read with a little more care this time.

And there’s nothing to prove he would have helped win a SB. And do you really want to compare ROY CAM with MVP CAM? Reach for whatever you want. You can’t prove your statement any more than I can mine.

Which is the the whole point. Again.

What are you on? Bringing up hurney is bringing up the gm. Why the hell would I bring up the 3 previous years under a different gm and qb, how does that correlate with the current argument  , please explain...:

you mad because I’m displaying the same kind of flawed thinking you are, said it before there’s no proof to state Smith off of the team was a plus for the team

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
