I definitely do not disagree. I've been pounding the table all off-season that we shouldn't be carrying Shaq at a $9M+ cap hit this season.

This is depressing. It's not that Shaq has been truly a bust, he just hasn't lived up to expectations whatsoever.

This. When you ignore weak spots to draft a player at a position of strength, you really need that guy to be a stud. I don't think Shaq is as bad as most Panthers fans think. It's tough to constantly be compared to the likes of Luke and TD, but he's basically just an average starting OLB with plus speed. That's not what you want out of a 1st round LB. It's certainly not what you want out of a luxury pick 1st round LB.

I hope you're right but I doubt it. I honestly haven't seen much development from him at all. He's still basically the same guy that we drafted.

Let's watch and find out. He's been the understudy for a long time now and I think he deserves a shot and some support.

He's getting the shot. He got that shot during TD's suspension too. Whether or not fans support is irrelevant. If you're on the Panthers roster I hope you ball out, whether I wanted you on the roster or not.

Tell me about it.  I thought he'd be the best player in history when I picked my username his rookie year. I've been let down.
