new CBS 7 round mock--with trades

You've seen seven-round mock drafts. You may have even seen seven-round mock drafts broken down by team. But have you seen a seven-round mock draft broken down by team that includes trades?

That's what you're getting right here. I've taken the liberty of making every single pick based upon what I feel team needs are after most of free agency has been completed. I've tried to make it as realistic as possible, but this far out there still isn't much clarity of what's going to happen at the top of the draft, even at No. 1. "

ROUND OVERALL PLAYER NOTES
1 12 DL Rashan Gary, Michigan from GB*
1 16 to Green Bay
2 47 DE/LB Chase Winovich, Michigan
3 77 OT Bobby Evans, Oklahoma
3 100 to Green Bay
4 115 QB Clayton Thorson, Northwestern
5 154 DE/LB Jordan Brailford, Oklahoma State
5 156 FS Mike Bell, Fresno State from DEN*
6 187 to Denver
7 236 WR Tyre Brady, Marshall from JAC*

With Gary falling out of the top 10, the Panthers make a move up four spots by sacrificing No. 100 to land a pass rusher with outstanding traits who should be tough to stop at the NFL level. With the Panthers looking to be more versatile on defense and incorporate more 3-4 looks, Gary's versatility could lend him to being a poor man's J.J. Watt if Carolina plays to his strengths, or he can be a beast on the edge in a typical 4-3 set.

Everyone hates every single mock. That’s what they do.

The only one that people would like but say is impossible, therefore still complaining is Nick Bosa falling to 16, we jump back to 20 without giving up any picks and get Montez Sweat, and then draft Jonah Williams at 21 again without giving up any picks.

the rest of the picks are only what man-crushes each individual has to be happy.

personally Gary is the scariest of the first round passrushers— a total wildcard. He could be Julius Peppers or he could be a total lazy flop.

I like that...Gary my top choice ...had Brailford in my mock ...like Winovich swag...get a OT and FS...would love a late rd RB though...

Giving up picks to get Gary is just a big fat NO. I don't doubt his potential but his floor is what scares me. Do you really give up all the potential picks to get a guy who is a boom/bust prospect like Gary?

You're right, at least one article I've seen rate him as, overrated.

I think it’s hilarious seeing everyone freak out over the idea of hurney giving up some late picks to move up to get a guy he wants.

Have you people learned nothing from the past with hurney?

He’s money in the first and absolute garbage in the late rounds. Him trading away a third to go get a guy he wants is him dealing away what 98% of the time will amount to a practice squad player pick by him anyway.

If he’s dead set on someone in the first, ive got no problem with him dealing some late picks. However, if he trades a future first again we need to fire him out of one of those cannons at Raymond James stadium.
