CMC up to 211 pounds, per CMC

Recommended Posts

Unlike what the article said, that's 9 pounds heavier than his Combine weight. That's probably about ideal for him. A little more weight to help him take the pounding and hopefully add significant playing strength, but not enough to slow him down. Per the article, CMC is really focusing his training around speed and explosiveness. He knows what butters his bread.

Thats pretty good. The backs closest to his size and play style :

  • Curtis Martin : 5'11'' 210 .
    • So practically the same measurables at this point
    • Who Gettleman originally compared him CMC to this guy upon drafting him
  • Ladanian Tomlinson : 5'10'' 215
    • A little heavier considering his an inch shorter, pretty close still
  • Marshall Faulk : 5'10'' 211
    • Same weight

Also, CMC claimed last offseason he put on 5 lbs of muscle but none of the official sites updated his weight . Wonder if they ever will update it from that 205 they put him at during his rookie season

he won't go into the season w/ that weight.  Training Camp gonna take some of that away.  But that probably is the plan.

That's true for a lot of guys, but I doubt guys like CMC, Cam, etc. are working any harder during TC than they are during their off-season conditioning programs. There's a reason why some guys are elite and others just have unfulfilled elite potential.

I'm actually extremely curious if he'll put up similar numbers in 2019. My only real problem with him now is that he's still getting tripped up from behind on these long runs that he could score on (which also happened during his rookie season).

I'm still pissed Rivera essentially blocked him from being the 3rd player in NFL history to get 1000 rushing and 1000 receiving.

I think as Cam starts to realize how dynamic Moore and Samuel are he's just not going to target CMC through the air over 100 times a season every year.  Especially if any of you are expecting 2015 level performance out of cam, he was at his best when pretty much everyone had a pretty evenly distributed workload.

4.5 guys (CMC ran 4.48) are going to occasionally get ran down from behind when there are 4.3 guys on the field, but it's not going to happen very often. CMC has proven NFL breakaway speed.
