The fact that Pass Interference doesn't exist against the Saints. That's a big problem.

LOLOL, touche.

Oh it exists alright, just always called on our DB's while our WR's get mugged constantly. Last year against Baltimore in the 4th quarter, Lattimore was called for DPI covering Crabtree. Okay, fine, it was worth being called. Literally the very next play, Flacco tries Lattimore again, trying to drop one deep to Crabtree. Lattimore, who has Crabtree blanketed, sees it and is literally running the route for Crabtree and is about to have an easy interception. Crabtree then grabs Lattimore's arm with both hands preventing him from running under the ball. No flag for OPI. Like c'mon now, that's ridiculous.  :poison:

For once the Panthers are built to beat the saints and the Falcons. I really can't blame them though. We have had our ass kicked in the division since 2015. Rivera took 4 years to correct a problem that should have been corrected in 17.

I like how they make it sound like Max Unger was some schmuck that happened to be on the Saints and is an easy replacement. That is going to be a very tough replacement for the Saints IMO. I think the Saints could have issues with inside pressure and hopefully that will be something we can cause with McCoy and KK

It certainly can be a very tough replacement, one we're more than familiar with, fortunately.

After Goodwin left following the 2010 season, we struggled to find a center of his caliber. First we tried Olin Kreutz (from the Bears) who quit on the team after the first 6 games. Then we rolled with vagabond Brian de la Puente for two and a half years (who performed admirably for his undrafted status). After moving on from de la Puente, a 35 year old Goodwin returned to his post in 2014 and honestly, we might have been better off playing with 4 offensive linemen and having Brees snap the ball to himself. That's the catalyst that led to trading Graham for Unger.

However if any player from this year's draft is capable of arising to that challenge, it'd be Erik McCoy considering he's only allowed one sack in 39 career starts at A&M. I know the NFL is another world, but if someone can succeed to that level of giving up a sole sack in 1,528 snaps, it shows he has the tools available to do so in the league.

It is easy to pick the incumbent champ. I have little issue with that decision because they are two time champs but it should be remembered that both games last year we gave the Saints fits and as long as we stay healthy we'll fight for the title.

The greatest thing about the NFL is a team can make moves in the offseason and drastically improve.  I think of all the NFCS teams we improved the most.

I think we'll regain our title but it won't be easy.

The word “expert” probably needs to die in a fire.

Yeah, Atleast how it’s used in the sports industry. You can be an expert in other fields, medicine, for example. You can’t be an “expert” in sports when you’re takes are wrong 70% of the time. Your just a dumbass that has air time

    • Would be happy with Lomu or Iheanachor at 19. Fano is intriguing but I don't think he makes it.
    • II see it this way: We have to look at long-term needs and current depth.  We have filled some key spots with players on one-year contracts.  I firmly believe that they intend to pay Bryce some big bucks next year.  That means you cannot hope that your rookies in 2027 can fill the spots vacated by the veterans you could not afford to re-sign.   We need to consider the cap and the fact that the need to start a rookie is not viewed as a positive by coaches and general managers, but they value first contracts--so it is a delicate balance. I think they have to look at the cap by position--"Can we afford a $50m QB and a $100m OL?  That is half the cap, before you pay your WRs and RBs and TEs.  They need to start getting younger on the OL as well.   I am not suggesting that we draft OT in round 1, but we could and I would get it.  RT on a 1-year deal, they may have intel about Ickey (who was not the best LT, to be honest) and 32-year old Moton is on a bad wheel.   Now if you go by Morgan's history, you can almost tell what position we are going to address with the first pick by noting the positions he has not focused on in free agency.  DT, considering the lack of performance by those not named Derrick Brown and the loss of Robinson, is screaming to be addressed with a top player.  Wharton is not an early down DT (DE if you want to get technical) and our LBs need to be clean--they were not in 2025.  Look for a DT early. I also think we will address ILB (pass covering Will) on day 2.  The other day 2 pick will be an OT, in my view. Do not rule out CB.  We are thin there too, and Jackson is in his final year.  I am not sure that we love Smith-Wade.  Some crackhead on here talked about moving him to S----stay tuned.   Hopefully, a team wanting Ty Simpson will move up and offer us a pick or two to move back. DT WILB OT OC QB  (you heard it here 337th--but this pick could come sooner than you think.
    • Bryce had some bad games, but he had some good ones as well (and this is coming from a Bryce skeptic). I think it's a little simplistic to put all the offensive woes on Bryce, you also should be looking at O-line play, receiver play, RB and TE play, and also coaching. There's no way when I look at the offense in it's totality am I ready to say that a so-so to bad offense was all on Bryce, and, I also can't say that we don't need to upgrade any position on offense, save Tetairoa McMillan (who also wasn't perfect) and maybe the starting guards and T-mo.
