That was an enforcer hit?

I was speaking to the hypocrisy of Boomer Paa, who would view that as an enforcer hit in the past, but in today’s terms, no that was an illegal hit.

Eric is not malicious, he’s a hard hitting, tough type of player. After the hit he kneeled down beside Ben and asked if he was ok. If he was being malicious he wouldn’t have given a fug.

Some posters here have a serious agenda that needs to be called out. Eric is a really good dude. He comes from a military family and has beliefs and values that should be respected if you are a fully functioning adult. If you don’t like how he goes about it (which is peaceful) that’s fine, but he should still be respected. They act like Reid is a bad person. He’s not. Thomas Davis has had ten times more egregious penalties and has failed a drug test but you do not see people questioning his character.

Talk sh!t, get hit. Reid is bringing the pain to the haters on and off the field. We need more guys like this on the field. My son and I will be wearing our #35 jerseys with pride this season.

Exactly!  Eric Reid brings that DOG.

I gotcha. I understand where you’re coming from now lol. I know about Reid. Been following him since LSU. I was happy when he got signed.

I don’t think that changes that it was a dirty hit last night though. But I also understand the agenda some have. He’ll get fined and keep playing.

I skipped to end of thread but in real time and the replays last night I saw the receiver slightly bobble the catch as he hit the ground.  Which means the hit was not "late" and a good football play.

even if what I saw did not really happen I'm not about to encourage our guys to hold up on a play like that.

don't really care about the other stuff.

*** you Reid haters, he was all over the field and always by the ball. He's the best piece of secondary we got.

So.  Technically, his hit was self-serving and stupid--giving the Pats a first down that led to a TD.  We lost by a TD.  You get Ws by scoring and stopping TDs, not being all over the field.   Yes, he is a good player, and we pay him to play football as you describe.  When his agenda hurts the team, and his beef with the player was ongoing before the game, then we have a right to say something.

He is still a defenseless receiver.  It was still a shot to the head area.
