Have to think the coaches and scouts really liked what they saw from him in their joint practices with Buffalo. One of the benefits of those practices, I suppose. Get to scout another team pretty well.

Kid is from Tampa, so he sure as hell with old rather be here than way up in Buffalo.

Jarius Wright is pretty reliable if unspectacular.

Curtis Samuel is potentially dominant but needs to prove that he can stay healthy for a full season.

DJ Moore is great once he gets the ball in his hands. My one concern was it seemed like we spent an awful lot of time getting him the ball on gadget plays last year rather than just straight pass plays.

All I see is is making moves to add and keep dropping people. None of those will help us this year. Look at what saints do they actually try to make moves to contend for a SB. Cam is going to have a short year. No oline and still unproven wrs. I didn't want Smith but I think we should have traded for a wr and some oline to help Cam.

exact same core as last year basically..

Except for greasy fingered funchess... not a bad thing. Saw lots of potential starting to be realized and added another good go to guy in Hogan. I think we're good to go.

Like I said, all we need is a return guy.

It must be so nice living in your world of negativity

Hopefully we picked up some guys who can be depth in the secondary and special teams if they make the active game day roster. Otherwise we have our starters. If these guys at starting anywhere but special teams, either they are killing it in practice or we are hurting for talent.

Wasn't you the one bashing me based off my preseason observations? Mr glorified practice. Look at what we have here lol

    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
    • Alright man! We're here for it! Just glad you're keeping the doors open!
    • I think we've seen improvement in Bryce's performance. It still isn't up to world beater status, but in Canales defense, he can say that the limitations of the player were hit. I think he survives that even if Bryce doesn't. Still, I think it's a 50/50 shot for Bryce to make it. QB is one of the toughest jobs to do in the sports world, if not the most, so the failure rate is really high, no matter the pedigree. Heck, Archie Manning gets a lot of credit as a great QB but anyone who saw his career in motion knows he wasn't really that good and he was surrounded by bottom of the bowl players. He did get it figured out with his sons, though. That grandson... maybe.
