Cam has improved his comp %. Just he has terrible timing when he misses either a "wide-open" or over-throws. Panthers needed that and it seems it puts a dent into teams momentum.  Bonus was he didnt hold the ball too long. Panthers where just in a spot where they needed Cam to throw a catch-able ball and he didnt on that play.

His % has improved because he has become Captain Checkdown with CMC.   His accuracy IMO has actually gotten worse in reality.

That is correct, but I see nothing wrong with passing to CMC. If Cam made ALL of passes to CMC, I wouldnt have a problem. CMC is a legit NFL weapon, put the ball in his hands. His accuracy is about the same.

I think we have to give Cam the next several games to really tell. You can’t discount the injuries. But the constant overthrows are a problem . And the issues with getting the calls in on time and running out the clock has become so old.

Someone has to take responsibility of that and fuggin stop it. It’s gone on for years. And for Cam to act surprised and pissed off when it happens doesn’t make him look any better for it. 

That said there were numerous opportunities other than Cams mistakes to win this game. All things considered we played a tight game with the NFC champs when most weren’t giving us a shot.

Oh and the refs totally fuggin screwed us on that challenge. Total bs

The accuracy is the concern. Wailing about him checking down is laughable considering how many gameday threads I've had to read over the years littered with whining about Cam holding the ball too long.

Don't turn the ball over. Reel in the overthrows. Stick to actual criticism. You weirdos talking about his career is over after the season opener aren't fooling anyone.

I’m glad we have CMC but it worries me to have him as a safety blanket. Makes me feel like Cam won’t look at his other guys eventually.

Cam needs to take on the mentality he had as a rookie and come out guns blazing. No one thought he could become a pro passer and he took it head on to prove them wrong and he balled out. 

Cam doesn’t need anymore safety blankets or schemes. He needs to sink or swim as a passer. I believe he’s still a great QB but damn the same issues over and over get old.
