Jarius Wright was open... A lot

Just finished watching the game in the coach's film and noticed how often Jarius Wright was open but not getting targets. Defense keyed in on Moore mostly where Cam tried to force the ball.

Would love to see the ball spread around more against the Bucs. More diversity needed in the passing game.

So did Cam just miss him, or did the pressure get home before he could get the ball out?

Just missed him. Cam had pretty good protection minus those few plays where there was just an obvious miscommunication. When everyone was on the same page the offensive line actually did a pretty good job.

Cam tried to force it to Olsen more than Moore.  9 targets with only four receptions.  He does need to do a better job of spreading it around.

So you're saying Cam is a QB who still can't read the field?

man give it a rest already.  you could stop bashing cam and start bashing the people who never got him a line, got him crushed year after year, wouldn't sit him in unnecessary games, and used him as a battering ram to save their jobs - you know, the people who would have taken those shots on him too.

Olsen = Gates

Moore = Vincent Jackson

CMC = LT that can catch

How many times did you see Wright get the ball in TC? Hogan? I swear I rarely heard their names. It doesn't matter if the play is designed for them. That has to stop immediately, but this is what they've worked on during the off-season

    • Rotating in Chuba was beyond stupid and really hurt our offense overall. We’ve been in a good rhythm the last 6 quarters or so but Canales figured disrupting that with Chuba would be worth it Rico fits this offense so much better than Chuba    As far as grades go I know that ain’t our RB1, starting Center and our supposedly deep WR room and exciting talented young TE in dead last. Weird. I wonder if that has any correlation on QB play  Even that first incomplete ball Bryce threw in the end zone that hit Legette’s hands. Legette had no business being there so early. Legette went into scramble drill when that ball was intended for Coker who led up because of the traffic there
    • Yeah Jets have pretty much been in every game they've played and have barely lost to really good teams. They are much better than their record says Imo
    • I kinda just wanna see what the offense can do with a QB who has proven he can move the football in the NFL. If Dalton wasn't a shadow of his former self I'd be fine with him but Father Time has definitely caught up with him. If we start piling up the losses as the schedule gets tougher and the passing offense continues to be anemic that might cast Canales his job and it's worth a very low risk move IMO to at least give him a fighting chance. The thought of yet another Tepper rebuild just isn't at all exciting to me having already seen a few of them. I'm about giving this current guy a fighting chance.
