A sensible discussion about something an opponent said is “bashing” now? Please tell, what topics are approved for discussion when it comes to Cam?

Posting an irrelevant article that was prompted by some irrelevant player making an irrelevant comment expecting any sort of rational discussion is about as idiotic as it gets.

This dumbass notion that cam completion rate is up because he checks down is probably one of the most backwards ass statements on this board. Like that’s a negative or something, do some of you even watch other teams or qbs with high completion rates,  it’s due to check downs, quick screens, shovel passes, ect. High percentage throws, I wish people would quick acting like mfs are throwing for 70% launching the ball 40 yards downfield majority of the game

Your statement doesn't make any sense.

First, you acknowledge the reason is because he checks down and that's what people are pointing out.

Then, you try to rationalize by saying that's what good QBs do.  So, I guess Kyle Allen is also a very good QB.

As a QB, you have to be able to work the entire field.  Throwing short throws all game will not win games unless the defense is top in the league.

For anyone confused by my statement listen to Marcellus Wiley, we are literally bitching about cam doing what every other offense in the league is starting to do, the “long” handoff

Lol...It was talking about the panthers and cam. That’s kinda what we do here. It’s 100% relevant. That quote was all over Twitter and I heard it discussed on multiple national sports shows. Its interesting so it’s worth discussing.

    • yeah, now it's going to get awkward.  The team circles pay attention to all this stuff.  All the wives and girlfriends see the posts.  They all talk like everyone.  Football is just a normal world outside of the fact they play a game for lots of money.  Gossip travels. They know the Theilen's want out at this point.  Carolina is now the disappointed failed trade location.    So now AT takes sort of an inhouse hit in Carolina IMO
    • Ummm... The dude looked like he was about 180 pounds soaking wet with us (I don't care what his listed weight was/is) - he would have been destroyed in the run game even more than our current and past crappy ILBs. The problem is we primarily play 3-4 or nickel/dime - there is little room on the field for him because he isnt an edge LB blitzer and he can't cover for crap. The only thing he can do kind of well is be an in-the-box safety that can try and beat blockers to the spot because of his athleticism. Washington was able to make him work last year because they used him solely as an in-the-box safety and almost exclusively ran a single high FS. The funny thing is they had good yards/game stats against the pass despite most of their secondary having embarrassingly low PFF grades. Washington was also terrible against the run, which might explain why they gave up so few yards passing.
    • Just get the deal done. We've teased it so much that the Thielen's expect it. Now we run the risk of our veteran WR locker room presence becoming disgruntled. Just take what we can get, make him happy, and get future assets while freeing up snaps for guys who will be here beyond this season.
