The jig is clearly up. He can't mask this. I'm his biggest fan but, at this point someone has to be the designated driver (ron) and say cam you have had to much to drink. You are not yourself and this ship is sinking.. ron needs to try to save his job bring in another arm Grier Allen Kap I dont care. Just dont let Cam continue to degrade his legacy like this.

Let him get the year off draft a qb and let them Duke it out next season.. I can't get any realer than that. .

Hell naw, they need to fix the left side of the line before anything, cam missed but I’ll be damn if he didn’t have Samuel open multiple times if Williams wasn’t letting Barrett eat his got damn lunch all night

he still missed some easy throws tho

The way he was playing even if line held up would have under or over thrown.

Shitty thing is hurndog wasted a 3rd rounder on will fuggn grier.

At this point that's not even looking stupid, even if he's a complete bust. It's going to take a lot of picks to find another quarterback. Might as well have a little bit of a head start.

That's just not a viable option. And not only because we don't have a good veteran backup, but also because I have a hard time believing that a coach and GM who really need a good year to show the new owner but they deserve to stay are going to be willing to sit Newton down unless one of his legs falls off.

“Sorry the QB is broken and we had to IR him” has a better chance to work saving their jobs than attempting to turn around this dumpster fire.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
