Glazer sez Cam is "refusing to run".

He knew from old ownership that he was their guy until JR was no longer with the team.

All of this smacks of new ownership not fully committing and a guy saving his arm and body for the future.

Only way to fix this is to commit long term(extend) or part ways. Don't worry this will soon be a fire for all to see.

Why should he have to at this point?

You see any other QB's in the NFL running power? Let alone leading their team in rushing as he did only 2 years ago for a fanbase ready to throw him in the trash?

We have running backs. Use them.

Running QBs run.  What they do.

Matt Ryan doesn't run.  He didn't get his job by running.  Running isn't what makes him the QB he is.

We aren't winning consistently anymore with a 30 year old QB having to shoulder the running game.

My man. We have a top 10 pick at running back. If we can't get him some positive yards then we've got bigger concerns.

Even the 0-2 Giants are still getting production of out of Barkley.

McCaffrey is a pup that hasn't won anything yet. Stop with that best player sht. Its still Cam Newton and Luke, those are still the Panthers best players. All that McCaffrey is the best is similar to KB. KB was force fed to make him look like the solution, he wasn't.

Lol, wut?

Tom Brady got blown tf up by the Broncos in 2015 the same as Cam Newton. They seemed to have bounced back well.

Difference is since then the Patriots have gone all in to bolster their offensive line. They didn't start by handing one of the worst starting tackles 50 million bucks either. They've also brought in stud veteran wideouts in Gordon and Brown. The Patriots also have some semblance of an NFL running game. Basically night and day from the Panthers. But the mouth breathers around here would have you believe this is a plug and play scenario and just about any QB not named Cam Newton could be placed within this roster and start winning immediately.

Hasn't plagued Brady for his entire time in the league.

I didn’t say he should shoulder the run game.  Don’t want him leading the team in rushing or coming close.

Said he is a running QB.  He should run.  Part of his game.   Always has been.

I agreed with the call to give it to CMC to score. It wasn’t a bad play at all - it just didn’t work out.

A game never comes down to one play and winning the game shouldn’t always (every single time) come down to the last second like it always seems to with Rivera. That play isn’t the reason why the Panther’s lost. There were plenty of opportunities throughout the game.

And then there is Rivera, playing conservative all game then all of a sudden trying to go riverboat on the 50 on 4th down with time left on the clock all of a sudden. It’s like he doesn’t know when to be aggressive and when to hold back.

Cam got the 1st down. I liked that choice. If u believe in your team as a whole then you bet on them. Trust offense you go for it and if they don't u know u have a defense that can provide a stop. McCaffery is not Steward say what u want but I miss stew in short yardage. He would have gotten those yards. As Cam maybe hesitant to run bc of all punishment already done. He is torn mind says u got this but then body says I want no more of this. He is confused.

3 best QBs in the NFL on 4th and 1?

Cam...….and 2 40 year old HOFers.   They sneak on 4th and 1 often because they know it works and they know they are good at it.

and as far as standard running, all great runners have run.  From Young to Cunningham to Vick.

w/ CMC Cam doesn't have to be the run Cam.  But for Cam to a good QB, he has to use his legs IMO.  Cam knows it, which is which Cam has always said such.

We don't have a young Cam Newton anymore. Yeah you can have him scramble here and there, but those days of Cam bulldozing are gone bud. It was inevitable. It's time to start building an offense that doesn't consist of "please save us Cam".

I don't disagree with running the QB sneak. But we don't exactly have a tip top OL right now. Not to mention our center hasn't exactly been looking too great either. Hopefully that is something that can and will improve in the coming weeks.

Little late for that, don't ya think?

Honestly, I'm kinda done with this season already, but if Hurney is allowed to hand out a big contract to Cam, I will probably lose my mind.

Love Cam, but you absolutely, positively, cannot pay for past performance, Marty has been known to do this often.

    • Thin sliced roast beef, provolone, and roasted bell peppers on a toasted sub roll.  At least one thing is going right today. I don't trust anyone who's never put Bugles on their fingertips to make witch fingers.
    • But yeh,  Bryce is the only problem on this sorry excuse of a team. You could put Tom Brady on this team and we would still suck . Worst part is Tepper and his various band of clowns have been trying to build a competitive team for 7 freaking years and are no closer now than when it all started.
    • Regardless of the trade and where he was picked, Bryce actively created deception. He wore a hoodie to the combine and was 15 lbs heavier because he packed on water weight because he didnt weigh near 200 lbs. He didn't participate in drills in a wide open 4 way, really 3, QB bid. Then there was all this hype over the S2 test that he had been practicing that we've never heard about in the draft process since. Does anyone think it was an accident Stroud's score on the S2 was released? Stroud said forget the score, watch his tape. Wonder why. There was a whole bunch of shady poo going on surrounding Bryce pre draft, and I for one, find it all a little too convenient.  Just my opinion, but he was a used car salesman that used some armor all and a wash n wax and maybe a set of white walls then schmoozed his way at dinner with Dave and Nicole and sold them that he was a super savant.  There was a whole lot of BS swirling around the BY hype train and he was a full fledged participant. Frank didn't want Bryce, he wanted Stroud. A new head coach does not pick a QB he has to go design a brand new offense around unless that guy is a generationaltalent, which Bryce was most definitely not. He picks the guy that best fits what he does and that was Stroud. This was Dave and Nicole's pick and they fuged this team like they've done over and over again since they've been here. They fell for use car salesman Rhule, then used car salesman Bryce and company. And the fans got stuck with the 4 years of payments on a car less reliable than Al Bundy's Dodge.
