Mahomes ability is a large part of why they're open as well. They weren't quite this open with Alex Smith at QB.

I understand the sentiment, but I don't want the refs to ever not call a penalty because of sympathy.

I think you have to use some reasonable logic there. If a player throws his helmet because he’s being a bitch, that’s one thing. If he’s chucking his helmet off because his Achilles or ACL feels like it’s on fire, maybe you throw that into the equation.

If it were us and they withheld a flag on the Falcons, then we came up short going for a TD, I feel fairly certain we'd all be ready to burn anything with black and white stripes.

Yeah it sucks, but I have to agree with the decision.
