Aside from the Cardinals who are one of the worst teams in the league, every win has been ugly if we're being honest. There's a difference between winning like this in September versus making noise in November and December in the NFC which has some stout teams. We also have to be able to stay healthy, we've already had our share of injuries. Regardless of how you feel about Cam or his future, there is no doubt that we are going to need him if we expect to actually get into the playoffs, and even moreso actually win a postseasom game.

Haven't most wins over the past 9 seasons been ugly?

The Panthers cant win with Allen guys!

Surely you see how silly your stance is right now.

I think it's sillier to see how you think Kyle Allen is a reason for those wins.

Anyone who watches football or has knowledge of the game acknowledges he has had bad performances and we won despite of that.

We won because we didn't play the Rams nor the Bucs during weeks 3-5 and had a defense and CMC to carry us against those relatively weaker teams. And given how close the games vs the Rams and Bucs have been despite a non-healthy Cam, that goes to show even furthermore how good they are.

We were in positions to win DESPITE the QB.

Kyle hasn't been good. Y'all have to be kidding me it isn't hard to see lol.

I seriously don't understand how this board is thinking anything but so. Kyle isn't the one putting us in positions to win. It has been the defense and McCaffrey the past two weeks.

And this is acknowledging that Cam wasn't winning our games either the first two weeks. But that doesn't mean Kyle Allen's the savior or answer to those problems.

So we should just put CMC at QB? Oh wait they tried that.  Saying Kyle Allen had no part of that win Sunday is ridiculous.  And he definitely put us in position to win against Houston

Are you going to have a meltdown because some of these guys are happy to be winning games with Kyle?

Very few people are going to want Kyle once Cam comes back healthy. At least I think most will be happy when a HEALTHY Cam is back.

I just want us to keep on winning instead of getting exposed later on.

I like winning. I want to continue winning by getting rid of issues that may cause us to lose in the future.

And he'll come back and replace a qb who will be 4-0 and promptly play a horrible game in a loss to San Francisco.  Gaurenteed....

No question. Of course Cam will lose that game. He's so far beyond his best years it's not even close. If people think that 3 / 4 weeks and superman will be back in full force are the kind of fans that ruin water cooler talk. Dude he's done for Christ's sake, get the f over it. I'll say it again, HE IS DONE. NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM WILL HE BE RESIGNED NEXT YEAR. ACCEPT IT.

He hasn't been good but been good enough.

Yes. He has short changed some passes and missed some long shots

He's also hit those timing routes.  Has been good on short and intermediate routes.  He's been good enough to not lose us the game

80% Cam aint doing that.  Look at last year, steelers game on, look at week 1 this season.

If you have the right guys around, you can still make a run and win enough games with guys like Kyle Allen.  He11 look at the Vikings 2 seasons ago.

Casey Fugging Keenum, who was playing oh so similar to Kyle Allen, led his team to the NFC championship game.  They didnt feel he was a QB1 thats why they parted ways and went Cousins.

Allen is good enough to be that Keenum, until Cam is Fully healthy, NO pain, NO soreness.

Guess you should keep that in mind, If Cam comes back and he's not playing good.

I hope this is sarcasm, but I doubt it.

LOL, literally no one has said that. They have been teams wins. Problem is you are so weirdly defensive and emotional when it comes to Cam that you can't just enjoy it.

Until Cam comes back healthy, we are a Kyle Allen led team. No ifs, ands, or buts. We ride with Kyle.

No one expects that ride to last forever. Well, very few anyway.

Kyle Allen's pocket presence has been terrible. Could do a thread on that but I know this board is too blinded to acknowledge those deficiencies.

Greg Olsen has been noted to have been upset over Kyle Allen's decision making at times. Plenty of times in fact.

He has been underthrowing receivers the past two games as well. He's been carried moreso than helped the team actively win.

It's feasible the rest of the team just plays better with Kyle for whatever reason. Some guys really believe Cam is Superman and they believe he is the reason why we win games (when he plays) and if we lose it's the line, coaches, defense, receivers or whatever and now we are winning despite Allen but with the same (or lesser) line, coaches, defense, receivers or whatever.  I do believe for us to be a real contender we need Cam to be at his best otherwise, we aren't gonna do much in the long run. I do really think the team is rallying around Allen and stepping their game up though but he is still learning and will get better.

Who the fug cares. We are winning. A (healthy) Cam over Allen all day, but until that happens, Allen is putting us in positions to win games and should continue to be the QB until we have that healthy Cam back.

Being happy for Kyle and hoping Cam doesn’t come back are not mutually exclusive.

You can enjoy the fugging ride and continue to be cautiously optimistic that a potential Cam return makes a surging team even deadlier. That’s my take.

at any rate, Allen should be celebrated for his contributions to this turn around regardless of your own personal feelings. If we make the playoffs, and Cam is the QB, we will look back and be thankful for Kyle.
